Do u guys still have landlines?

We still have a landline.  My husband's health is not the best and I don't want to take any chance of not being able to call 911 if I need to.  I've had my cable out for up to a week so I would never consider letting the cable company take over my phone service in any kind of bundle deal.    I keep my phone bill as cheap as possible but that's not easy with AT&T.  I use Google voice for long distance calls

No landlines here.  We are completely digital and wi fi capable so we cut our land line 3 years ago and have not missed it one bit.

We just got rid of our landline about six months ago.  We are seniors in our sixties and I don't think we talk on the phone enough to worry about radiation.  Some days I do not talk on the phone at all.  I don't really like to.  I was in customer service-type jobs for so many years when I was working, I got sick of talking to people.  Now I mostly talk to my daughter, and soon they will be moving close by, so I can talk to them in person.  Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yup, I still have my landline / home phone still just in case I run out of minutes for my cell phone.

no I don't have  a home phone any more but I have to say, I wish I did.  I miss sitting at the desk doodling on paper while I hold the bulky receiver to my ear.  Or sitting on the couch twisting the cord up and dialing the numbers.  Most of all I miss hanging up on someone!  With a cell phone u just simply press a button, I want to slam down the receiver!  Aw the good ol days!

No landline anymore.  I haven't had one in about 6-7 years.  It became redundant and I mostly received telephone solicitations.  I would consider having one for wired security systems and to receive calls at the house but the phone company charges much more than I think that it's worth.  I would only pay less than $10 with taxes and fees.

yes, i have a landline. it just seems more dependable than a cell. I have a free cell phone thanks to the goverment But, i cannot usually hear it ring. On the landline I do not have to worry about minutes all the time. So, that is why I like the landline.

I do still have a land line.  I have it bundled with my internet.  It is also a security thing with me.  I try to explain that to others and they don't always understand.  I like having a phone that I know will still be connected to the outside if the power goes out and I have no clue when it will be back on.  Yeah, it would probably save me some money to get rid of my land line altogether, but I can't quite get myself to do it.

I do have a land line phone. I will never use a cell phone.....two very good reasons: radiation danger and the numbers are too small to press with your finger.

Gerianne, I hear ya with the radiation bit.  I still wonder and worry about it.  People say all the time that it is just a little bit so don't worry about it.  I still think about it.  We finally broke down and got cell phones to keep in better contact with our children.  There is one cell phone that I can think of that has larger numbers and it is just a basic phone without all the other bells and whistles that other cell phones have.  I believe it is called a Jitterbug.  The only reason I mention this is because I do believe that cell phones are a nice safety feature to have when you are away from your house.  What plan you decide to pay for and how much you use it, is up to you.    Take care.

Yes i still have a land line phone it is more usualful for me, with computor and all the different phone calls I have to make.  to use with the automatied system you get when you call about something that is broke.

I still have one and use it quite a bit.  I also bundled mine with my internet and t.v.  I probably use it just as often as I use my cell phone.

I still use my landline phone whenever I am home. I use my cellular phone when I am away from home.
