Yes ... anytime you can avoid the "white" bread or "white" sugar you are making an improvement.  Whole grains are much healthier.  I am trying SOOOO Hard to eat right but it is a challenge!

The more grains and fiber you can get into your body, you are going to be so much better off.

I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

It's true. White bread doesn't have much nutritional value, but it still has the calories. When you need bread, might as well go for some wheat which has a higher vitamin and fiber content. You also tend to feel fuller after eating wheat bread because it's more dense. I find I eat a lot less bread when I have wheat in the house instead of white. It's a godsend for a diet!

I need to diet but it is hard for me with my food allergies.  Tomatoes, Peppers, nuts, Oranges, Bananas, you name it I cant eat it.  When I look up diet plans its always got something that is deadly to me as required for the meal.   I am frustrated.  Anyone have ideas.

Definitely wheat bread.  I only eat wheat bread.  Once a year I might eat a couple of slices of white bread.

Once I made the switch to remove most of the white carbs from my diet I noticed a big improvement on my digestion. I was once clogged up and now I am free. Wheat and whole wheat even taste better.

Have you tried weight watchers? It might be better for you because you just count caloies so you can eat what you are able to just keep it under what your calorie allotment is. It works to, my best friend used it and looks great!

:crybaby2:I have been dieting and dieting and losing and gaining.  I am not a bread eater, but wheat is so much better for you.  I have tried weight watchers and it works, but who can afford it these days, but I will continue to try to lose weight until I reach my goal, good luck!

Weight Watchers online isn't so bad..I pay $17.95 per month.  You count points with them, not calories....with their new Points Plus program most fruits and veggies are 0 points.  They tell you how many points per day you are allowed.  It's really easy to follow.  I'm losing about 1 pound per week on it.  The trick is..."if you bite it..write it".  If you write down everything you eat you will lose better.
