S'mores
« on: June 02, 2011, 02:37:50 am »
Who else really enjoys S'mores? I love 'em. I like to use dark chocolate, milk chocolate, (dark or milk) flavored chocolate like mint or raspberry, and even Mr. Goodbars. YUMMY!  :P Is there anything special you like to use?

I love smores too!  I just use the regular graham crackers, marshmellows, and plain hershey bars!

I don't really like smores, since I don't like graham cracker, but I love to toast the marshmallows a bit then stick them on a piece of chocolate to eat.  ^_^

You might try making S'mores  with Keebler Fudge Stripe cookies and marshmallows rather than graham crackers.  We did that a lot when the kids were little........a lot less messy than regular Smores.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I may just have to try that.

Love them.  You can make some really low calorie ones with a small bag (100cal) chocolate covered cookie and mini marshmallows.  One mini to each cookie and nuke it for a bit.

how do you get the chocolate to melt more. When roasting the marshmallow and putting it on the chocolate on the graham cracker the chocolate doesn't melt at all. I suppose I could roast the chocolate over the fire a bit too but that would be a task haha but anyway when the chocolate is still hard and cold it kinda ruins the smore for me.

I never tried making S'mores with different chocolates.  That sounds yum and fun!

There's a restaurant in Cleveland called the Chocolate Bar; they have a yummy tray you can order with fruits, graham crackers, marshmallows, with a nice chocolate fondue pot in the center.  Just dip the marshmallow in chocolate, place in the graham crackers:  Smore!
