Building websites for beginers
« on: June 25, 2008, 04:08:00 pm »
Hey yall... so I am new when it comes to building my own website. I have created one using Microsoft Frontpage. Does any one know of a free service that I can use with frontpage to put up my website.
I found some web hosting websites, but they charge a monthly fee inorder to do FTP. Can any one help me??

Doesn't google let you have a free website?  I don't know if that's what you're looking for.

I used to use one called netfirms  they did have a free serivce at one time I haven't used them in a while so you would have to check and see if they still have free service.  I used front page for my site I had with them though.  I currently use Yola for my sites, not sure if you can use front page with them though but there site designer is very simple to use and its free.

try typing in all free web hosting website.  one of the locations you should get is 000webhost.  this is where i have one of our sites.  it is a sophisticated  site.  in your search you will find also starter sites.  choose the site that best meet your needs.  you should know that geocities (yahoo) is discontinuing their free sites.  aqlso, try ehow - How to Find The Best Free Web Hosting

I use to use yahoo till they shut down their hosting.... but hosting can be really cheap like a couple bucks a month. A lot of times I would build subdomains on a friends hosting account.

At 50webs.com, you can have multiples sites under one account and there are no forced ads on your pages. You also do FTP for free.

Weebly.com is good. I just made one at spruz.com...really easy. Freewebs was one, don't know if they're still around. I'm not much of a web site maker at all...download, upload, hyperlink...everything confuses me, but spruz was really easy as far as adding links and pages. Good Luck.
