Depends on what you are interested in, there are so many. I just finished Tom Clancy's novel-Dead or Alive. It was a great read and kind of eerie because it was about the capture of a character similar to OBL and went down pretty much as it really happened.

I love Barbara Kingsolver books.  She takes a historical situation or personality and adds twists and perspectives to it.  Several of her books have led me to other things and interests.

Also, recently read the History of Chocolate which was a fun read and on the Myster level, Alone at Night and also the Hummingird Wizard.

I strongly suggest you read Stephen King books. I also suggest you read The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. There are many many great authors and great books but you'd have to tell me a genre.  ;)

Whew...... there are so many.   I am a history buff and like tons.  However, something different is the 4 hour Work Week!   Sounds like a dream.

I've been reading The Odessa File and so far it's pretty good. The Giver is a favorite book of mine.

Do not waste your valuable time reading heavy and boring books! I love reading but I do not waste my time that way because I have a lot of other things to do. I look for summaries or a synopsis of that book. You can get a real good idea of what the book is all about without wasting too much of your time.

James Patterson writes amazing mysteries if that's what you are in to. I love the Women's Murder Club series of his.

OMG, I can't believe you feel that the words the actual authors poured their energy into to create their art is a waste of time.  That's a crying shame.  :'(  Don't you pour your creative energy into anything?  Do you watch movies or just the trailers?  Do you listen to whole songs or just the online samples?  You're depriving yourself of so much.   :dontknow:
