There are always going to be idiots predicting the end of the world. I had a "end of the world party" on Y2K and I'm planning another in 2012. Make fun all you want, idiots are funny!

Yet another "unconfirmed" OPINION/STATEMENT eh...? Just so happens that THIS ONE was EASY to dismiss without "proper" VERIFICATION.... but what about those billions of OTHER "offers" that actually SOUND credible....? Was this particular BULL$H!T "easier" to dismiss merely because it wasn't soooo...... beautiful???

Hmmmmm.......

So we've survived 2 apocalyptic dates (1-1-2000 and 5-21-2011), only only more to go (12-21-2012)! (Maybe we're all  :cat: and we have 9 "end of the world"s to go thru!)

A friend and I were running karaoke at the time "the end" was supposed to occur, so to celebrate it, we had a bunch of "end of the world" songs in our DJ-playlist: Europe's The Final Countdown, REM's It's the End of the World as We Know It, Prince's 1999, etc. We'll probably do something similar on 12/20/2012 (since karaoke is only on Tues-Thurs. and Saturdays, and the 21st is Friday (although we run till after midnight, so it may work out after all)).

It did not happen this time but it will happen and when it does there will be alot of people burning in hell. This may have been a warning for us all to get right with the Lord. Nobody knows when it will happen...but just remember how Jesus was mocked til the very day he hung on the cross.

I don't know why,,,,, since he reads the bible ....he didn't find that bible verse where it says nobody knows the time and day???? not even Jesus or the Angels. The bible tells us Jesus will come on rapture day like a burglar..... when u least expect it.

I don't believe most people thought the world was going to end as that man predicted.   You would have to be as nutty as the is to think that. I don't worry about it and never will

In honor of Camping's (latest) doomsday flameout, here’s look at some of the (many) other apocalyptic forecasts that failed to materialize -- and at the morning-after excuses those false prophets offered.

UR Right - Noone know's. I believe these people that make predictions are just what they are!!They are trying to get there name out there!!They also want to grow their following. This in the long run is a money making scam, either to get people to send money to his church or get a bigger following so he can get them to give over all their savings. This guy is no better than Jim Jones that killed all of his followers. The problem is some people listen to this guy!!
