"Dog" The Bounty Hunter...
« on: April 27, 2011, 09:14:39 pm »
Has anyone watched this show on A&E? It is called "Dog" the bounty hunter. Well if you haven't seen it here is a quick run down. It is about a family, husband (Dog), his wife, his brother, his son, and his daughter... they are all bounty hunters. Dog himself looks like some huge hulking weight lifter, with this wavy long blondish yellow hair, and he is almost always wearing these big sun glasses. The wife is a VERY voluptuous bleach blond, with these HUGE, and I mean HUGE *bleep* that stand straight out like big bullets. The son and brother are both like weight lifters also, but not as big as Dog is, they actually look more like bikers. The daughter is a cute, sexy skinny athletic blond. They seriously look like a mix between some "bad *bleep*" biker family, that lifts weights, and works out every minute of the day possibly LOL.

Ok now when you watch this show, in the beginning they talk about who the person is they are going to go after on this episode. The people they go after have been different types like: bouncing checks, drug related, gun related, theft, robbery, and etc... I have not seen anything as serious as like murder yet... but still the people they go after are not just wanted for jay walking or something, LOL. So anyway after they give the details about who and what the person did, then they talk about last known address, or etc... friends & family of the suspect. Now after all of this is done, out they call go to track the person down. Sometimes they meet up with "informants" which are usually people they find related to, or friends with the suspect, that the suspect has usually screwed over or pissed off LOL, so they turn on the suspect and inform the hunters where to find them or etc... towards the end of the show Dog and family end up tracking down, then taking down the suspect. This is almost always fun to watch, because most of these people do not go down quietly. Over all it is a very entertaining show to watch.... BUT...

Here is the twist, and a very nice surprise to me.... I did not expect this at all... but at the very end, after they capture the suspect, they drive them to the jail place to turn them in and etc... well in the first episode they had gone after this guy who was wanted for burglary and a few other things including drug charges. So Dog and his wife are in the back with this guy, talking to him about how Dog understands and knows all about addiction, because he too had a problem long ago. Now this is not the surprise... I mean from the looks of them all you would probably think they ALL (except maybe the daughter) might have had drug use problems in the past if not STILL. But the surprise came after he revealed this about himself... is when Dog suddenly starts talking to this guy about GOD. How GOD saved him, and helped him over come his addiction, and has blessed him, his life, and his family. He actually sort of starts preaching to this guy about GOD, but NOT in that over bearing type way... he preaches in an understanding, good way. In the end the suspect has tears in his eyes, and his face is filled with conflict, then Dog and his wife both start to Pray for this guy right there in the back seat. The suspect as he is about to enter the building to turn himself in, with the help of the police or whoever is there with him, he tells the one officer that he is grateful he was caught by Dog, because Dog helped him to realize things about himself, and that he will be seeking help now to get off the drugs and go straight etc... and he thanks GOD for putting Dog into his life and helping put him on the right path.

Some of you might think this is bullshit, or dramatization etc... but I went online and tried to find out what I could about this family and show. From what I saw this is all 100% real. This family is really like this. They are all really heart felt Christians, who follow the path they believe GOD has put them on as a family. They really DO talk to every suspect like that, and not just for TV sake. They have helped tons of people come back to GOD, and get on the right path. Most of the profits from this TV show that they make, they turn around and put into helping the suspects that they capture. They help them get their lives back on track, help put them through rehabilitation, help them get out of bad housing situations and etc... and NONE of this is ever mentioned on the show. I think I saw once on one show Dog mentioned he would submit a recommendation to the judge for one suspect, asking he be sent to a rehabilitation program, and given probation or something instead of a sentence in jail. This is one of the main reasons I feel respect for this show and family. It is entertaining, but it is REAL, this family is not fake, and not in it just for the money or etc... they do this show to help get the word out, that you do not have to be some holier than thou, straight laced, stiff collar, person to be a Christian in order to live for GOD, do his work, and help others by guiding them to or back to him. They also show that it is not about them wanting to be praised or etc... for what they do, because like I said it is not shown on the show what they do with the profits of the show, or what help and things they give the suspects, and community in general or etc...

Over all I think this is a great show. You see this family, and at first think bikers, tough guys, weight lifters, bad asses, or etc... and you ARE right, but they are much much more. Once you watch the show in full you see they are a LOT more, they are these things, they are VERY human, they have made mistakes, and etc... but they are also a VERY close family, very loving and protective of each other, very Christian, and just over all GOOD human beings.

Don't get the wrong idea though about them. They are not just some squishy do gooders. They do not like nor take bullshit, they really dislike fake people, people who just make excuses, deny what they have done, and etc... They DO call people on their bullshit, and they don't let them get away with it. It is nice watching them when they do this, because I know I sit here and want to slap the crap out of some of these people with the things they say.

I used to watch it.  I used to live in Hawaii and saw Beth at Walmart once.  Her *bleep* were really really huge.  I saw the whole gang at a powwow.  It was Dog, Beth, Leland and their little boy.   Leland is really, really short.  I'm 5'3" and he's shorter than me I was really surprised he was that short because he didn't look that short on tv.

I am surprised more people did not respond to this... I was sure more had seen the show or heard of it. I am actually watching a rerun of it now, with my fiance. He hasn't really watched it yet, so I am waiting til it is over to see what he thinks.
