My URL bar isn't working right for Chrome
« on: April 26, 2011, 02:43:02 pm »
I usually could type anything in in my URL and it would search straight to google, now when I type anything that isn't a URL in there, it takes me to www.scanquery.com.

What is this?  Did I download some exe from one of the offers?  How do I get rid of it?  I miss having my google search engine up there :(

Thanks guys!

Will

I use Google Chrome and I never had that problem about can't putting your URL in the bar.  To delete that one thing go to your control panel, uninstall programs, and see if it is on that list.  If it is, highlight it and click on uninstall.  Some programs that are hard to get rid of I use REVO uninstaller.  If you can't find it you can email me and I will send you the link.  You might have to uninstall google chrome and reinstall it again.

the only problem I run into time and time again with google chrome - my favorite browser, by the way, is with the surveys.  some surveys load fine, but then I can't "click" the answer - it won't put a check mark in.....or if I can do that, when I go to click "next", it won't move.  by then it's too late to move it to another browser as most surveys won't let you start and stop and resume.

Did you try Opera or Flock. those browsers are recent and faster.
