I am a better God than God
« on: April 10, 2011, 02:02:52 pm »
I really am, I am starting to think of all the ways I am a better God than God, now only if I had the power.

I think you don't know what you are talking about.  And for sure nobody will believe you.  As least not me.

It doesn't matter whether you believe her or not, if she says that she is a better God then "the most high"=Father of Jesus, then she is in effect saying the same thing Pharaoh said "who is this Jehovah"(Exodus 5:2). Here "wild talk" is becoming very dangerous.

Remember when someone said "God himself couldn't sink the Titanic"? Lol

Well supposedly a deck hand said that at the first launch. But that wasn't the point....just pointing out some more "dangerous talk". Guess my joke didn't land lol. Oh well  8)

As usual I was working when most posts went up last night, so am now catching up on what I missed.

I immediately got the Titanic 'joke', remember reading that, and laughed! Some live a more sheltered life when it comes to variety in what they know and how much trivia they retain don't you think, Sherna? ;)

I liken this to those who say they could do a better job than the president, or members of congress, or the pastor of a church.  You don't know what it is like until you are in that person's shoes.  The movie Bruce Almighty comes to mind here - don't assume you could do a better job than God since you are not God, and no human can know all that goes into being God.  However, I still respond with the question: In what regard do you feel you could do a better job than God?

I suppose. Although I may have an unfair advantage. I'm completely fascinated with Titanic so I have a bunch of documentaries about it and I also built a 3d puzzle of the ship. OOOOOooo and also I went to the Ripleys Museum and they have a whole floor dedicated to Titanic. I got to stick my hands in some water that was the temperature of the water at the time the ship sank. It was less than a minute before my hands started to burn. That exhibit was awesome!

But this isn't a thread about Titanic so I'll stop now lol

Sherene,
Well, maybe one reason I knew what you were referring to is the fact that I am totally fascinated by the ship, it's history, everything about it. My sons were always grateful for more than one TV in the house. If there was anything on History Channel, etc., having to do with the Titanic, they knew what the 'Commander-In-Chief' of the house was going to dictate as far as shows. ;D The Ripleys display sounds cool, cannot begin to imagine being in that water as possibly my last minutes here on Earth. :sad1: I have seen 2 artifact collections on loan in museums and they gave me such an odd/disturbed feeling. Seeing personal items, tea services intact as if nothing had happened, etc. - very eerie!
Yes, I took this more off topic, but wanted to let you know I am somewhat of a Titanic geek too. ;)

I must say even this topic is foolish. Sometimes people just put stuff out there,  for someone to respond to, just to get attention or to  see who and how many people to respond. Obvivious this people dont know God. Lol!!! How Dumb!!! If you think u r better than God.

I know what you mean about the eerie feeling. I had heard several years ago that they were building an exact replica of the Titanic and it was going to set sail from the same location and take the same route as the original was taking, but the ticket price even for the lowest class were outrageous! I'm not sure if they ever even did build a replica I never heard anything else about it. But I wanted to go SO BAD! That would be totally amazing to do something like that. Of course you would probably see a line of people waiting to stand on the rails at the front of the ship yelling "I'm the king of the world!" lol

If you are ever in San Antonio Texas go to the Ripley's Museum. And let me know so I can go with you  ;D lol!

That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.
