And I think it was right of them to mace the kid. I may have a different way of thinking when I actually have kids, but as of right now I think he should have been disciplined! Obviously he was out of control and I think the necessary steps were taken to prevent any further destruction.

I don't think your way of thinking will change, you know kids need to know right from wrong and would take matters in your own hands to discipline them accordingly. I think she should just be happy that they didn't use a stun gun on him. That would have been really pushing the line. So yes, I think the best way was to use pepper spray. A little irritation on the skin is better than getting zapped with electricity.
