Price Match at Walmart/Money Saving Tips

Well if you are on fusion cash I feel like you are a penny pincher like me...so...there are like 4 grocery stores I could shop at, VG's, Kroger, Meijer, and Walmart.  I have always gone to Walmart, but am sick of always seeing wrinkly/moldy produce EVERY TIME I go in.  So I tried to switch to  Meijer, but I missed Walmart because I know what aisle everything is down and such.  I only tried Meijer for one weekend, now I'm back at Walmart - I just make an extra trip to Meijer's on my way home for all of my produce.  The point of the story is Walmart will price match other stores prices, so take the time to go through other ads and mark them on your grocery list.  One time I saved like almost ten bucks just by price matching food, and I usually don't even have to bring the ad because they have them right up front at the register.  Sometimes it takes a while to go through everything in the ads, but I think it's worth it.  I also only go grocery shopping once a week (I used to go every other day) and I think this really saves me money, and I usually just get some cereal and a week's worth of dinner, there's usually always enough leftovers for lunch the next day and if not we just have sandwiches.

I patronize Kroger whenever possible especially with $0.50 & below coupons because they double them.  I find Kroger has better prices and fresher produce/meats here in our area than Wal-Mart.
