God won't put anyone in hell
« on: March 30, 2011, 04:25:58 am »
So I have come to the conclusion that the real God, couldn't and wouldn't put anyone in hell. If God could and would subject his own creations to this torment then why like him period?

Heaven is going to be miserable with this God in charge because someone's relative is gonna be upset that they are burning in hell.

I believe there still is a GOd but like Zeus and all the other God's before this current popular God needs to go on the shelf.

What are your thoughts on this man made monster throwing people in hell for eternity?

Glad you see this, i've tried showing people Acts 24:15 and the resurrection of Lazarus but people just don't want to hear it and flat out ignore it. I'm well aware of the fiery torment imagery in the bible but it just contradicts scripture too much to be literal.

Well, I personally believe there is a literal hell. After all where were Satan and his angels cast down to after being thrown from heaven? Hell was created for him, not human beings. I think that people put too much emphasis on hell when the KJV mentions hell a total of 54 times and the word love and it's other forms (loves, loved etc) appears 554.

Love wins.

However, I do not believe that every single person goes to heaven. God didn't come to judge the world but to save it, that's scripture and I believe it. But if a person is rejecting that salvation, in what sense do they make it to heaven?

Sin cannot enter the kingdom. How does anyone go there then since we all sin? Believing in Christ and his perfect sacrifice right? If you don't believe and you sin (which we all do) how do you enter the kingdom?

A person will not go to hell just because they don't believe it exists. So I'm not trying to argue that point, it just makes no sense to think that given the fact the only way to salvation is accepting Christ so as to be cleansed of sin, you can somehow enter the presence of God and not ever have accepted the gift of salvation. If we are justified by faith, how can someone of no faith in God be justified in his sight?

BUT, no matter who you are, no matter what your life has been like, no matter what horrible things you have done, no matter how much money you make, no matter how pretty or unattractive, no matter your color, your country, or your creed, Christ died for EVERYONE and God loves you.

That's how love wins. It conquers sin, it conquers hell, and it is unconditional. Does a God who loves his creation want them in hell? No. But if you reject his love, how can he save you?

That's not a monster in my opinion. That's a God worth living my life for. Because he isn't fair. If he was fair, then we all deserve to burn in hell. But he isn't fair he is merciful and his hand of mercy is outstretched to anyone who wants to take it.

I think hell is the Life you live. When we die we rest,so it's like heaven.Hell is the life we go threw. Why wouldn't God send anyone to hell, some of these people in this world are cold heart mindless fools. They ruin *bleep* for us good people when the Gods look at us.So as people of God,we take punishment for others.Life comes an goes for us.Gods live forever.

Well I think it's funny you call God Man made and that This God you speak of wouldn't throw anyone in hell. The Holy Bible was written in 3 original languages Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. The funny thing is when you talk about other religions and other Gods such as Zues and what not They were made after the bible was written.

No, the 'funny thing' actually is that you are 100% wrong in what you said above.
"when you talk about other religions and other Gods such as Zues and what not They were made after the bible was written" Wow, seriously?! I hate to break it to you, but the Greek and Roman gods date many years BC (as in Before Christ) and the first known Bible to be written was in the 1380's, by John Wycliffe. In case you are confused, 1380 is AD (anno Domini) after the birth of Christ; in the year of our lord.
Yet another amazing piece of Christianity laying claim to all in existence?  :dontknow:

Yes, I believe there is a hell and yes I believe people are in it.  However, I believe God doesn't "throw" people into hell.  The people themselves put themselves there.  The way I see it, we are not capable of knowing God on our own because he is absolutely above our understanding.  But, with His help, he enlightens our mind by sending us His Holy Spirit so we can know Him and develop a relationship with Him.  I believe hell is when we deliberately, consciously, and knowingly refuse to let in.  If we shut Him out, he cannot help us because we need Him, and in fact, were created to be with Him.  So if we die without any capabilities to "see" and know God - due to the fact that we have simply refused to allow God to transform, then we can only go to hell because our souls have no supernatural capability of being with the supernatural, namely, God Himself.  This is what I believe hell is.  It is a state of being without the presence of God after death.  However, heaven is the direct opposite.  It is the state of being, after death where we are with God forever, and ever. Amen. God bless you.

Ugh I can't take this interchange or soul and spirit and being all the time. I think i'm going to make a bible grammar topic just so I and  those who are non christians can follow. Anyway can you tell me what perish means? According to American Heritage this is the definition below

to die or be destroyed through violence, privation, etc.: to perish in an earthquake.

What does John 3:16 say?

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.(KJV)

Now do you perish or fry if you don't  believe in Jesus?

P.S. The definition of death is STOP LIVING not keep living.

Any way you look at it, this god (at the foundation) is evil. People tend to get away with so much cleverly-worded touchy-feely nonsense that seems so profound on the surface but totally empty at the core that it's as funny as it is sad. So those are my thoughts, Marie. I laugh at the reasoning and sadly cry at how it still has our culture by it's *bleep*.

GOD does not put anyone in hell, HE sent HIS only SON so that we would not go to hell.
tell me why HE would send HIS SON to die for us, so we can continue to live like hell after we know HIM?
we put our self in hell by the stupid choices we make... because GOD gave us freewill.
HE gave us the ability to think. HE gave us authority over the earth, but we have abused
all of HIS gifts even the gift of HIS SON who died for our sin. Did aeus rise from the grave, heal the sick, raise the dead,
create anything? No. GOD has give us a BOOK that is alive and HE lives in it... our problem is most of us think we are to
smart to read it... why don't you try reading it before you scorn GOD.

There is a human desire to make the hero into a larger than life figure, and to shroud the various aspects of their life in meaning. Since chances are, in a society that passes stories along by oral tradition, there is a value placed on the creativity of a story teller, otherwise mundane aspects of life are likely to be embellished, especially if the true details of that aspect of a life have been lost.

There is NO contridiction in God's Holy Word, only in man's mind and interpretations.  Truly study the Word and it will surprise all of the non-believers!  Too much facts not to be true.  I guess we'll all see in the end....I'm glad I'll be on Jesus' side!
Have a wonderful day!
