My brother had been in the army for several years. He in listed as a medic. What I remember from his adventures were pictures of where he had gone during his tour. Pictures from, egypt, germany, russia, the middle east. Very breath taking & beautiful.  Now an ex-army officer, he is taking his residency, medical board exams. If he pass, he will officially be a Doctor. I think by joining the army it gave him discipline & focus. He's the eldest in our family but for many years he was like the youngest spoiled brat with no focus or future. I think for sure,  the army had saved him.

I think it is a very worthy consideration.  My husband was in the Army but in the VietNam era.  Very different time.  The military can give you many options to get an education for the future.
