Do you think the world will end in 2012???

In the bible it say's no man know's when the world will end. But the movie called 2012 has everyone thinking the world is going to end in 2012. I would like to know your thoughts about the world ending in 2012.

My thoughts:
Honestly I don't believe in the world ending in 2012. I think it will be along long time.
So whats your thoughts???

The U.S lost many lives on 9-11-01 and Japan lost many more on 3-10-11. Add the dates together you get 12-21-12...

I think a lot of things on this topic...

One thing I think is the saying "life sometimes imitates art", and a good example of this is a crap load of movies out there that things from the movie have become reality in the past. The biggest and best example of this is the old Star Trek series. Seriously think about it... on that show they had doors that would open automatically when someone walked up to them. At that time this was NOT something that was a reality, they actually had people behind the scenes pulling the doors open. It was not a reality in the real world, there were no doors that opened like that, BUT not so long after... what is in almost every single shopping center, store and etc.... what huge % of buildings NOW have automated doors?

Things like "vid phones" is another example from that movie. Another very freaky one is I just watched the new movie "Afterlife" which in the very beginning had a big scene where a tsunami hit land, and killed thousands. I had a hard time watching this movie, just because of what recently happened in Japan... it was so realistic in the movie, it was very easy to imagine this was what happened over there. I know there are Tons of other movies out there with "killer tsunami's" but this movie, was not about the tsunami itself, it was just something that happened in the movie to one of the characters. Anyway my point is, this movie was made months if not over a year ago... and it hit theaters like what a week or so before the real thing happened in Japan? Think about it...


Ok now my other thoughts... I think honestly this world is going to hell in a hand basket so to speak. I don't walk around preaching, or spouting bible versus, or etc... but I truly think we are in the end times. There is just to much around us to not see it... Out culture, world, life, and etc... has only gotten worse over the years, and will only get even more worse in upcoming years. Once upon a time you could watch any of the basic channels and not worry about your kid hearing or seeing something they shouldn't... now... well if you have watched TV you know what I am saying. I am STILL surprised when I hear the word "*bleep*" used freely in a regular TV show on a basic channel. Yeah I know you can yell all you want about "freedom of speech" or etc... but still it is just one example of how screwed this world has become in time. The economy, life in general, disease, destruction to the earth, and etc... all worse now than they ever were. Children being killed, hell even children being the killers... it is almost common place it seems to hear about some priest and a young boy now a days, so much so that people use it in jokes, talk about it as if it was a joke... I just can not see how ever single person, religious or not, does not see that the world is going to end in a bang, and possibly soon...

It is my opinion that the world will not end in 2012; but how can we actually know for sure? There is not one person here on earth that can actually predict the future accurately!

There seems to be alot of things that are alligning lately. I don't really believe in conspiracy theories or predictions all that much, and really don't worry too much about it - because whatever will be will be. The problem is that there seems to be alot of things happening that have been predicted alot of years ago - like over 400 years ago.

I'm seriously hoping it doesn't end in 2012 because I just bought a really nice condo last year.  Plus, I spent 27 years in the Air Force, retired in 2009, and now am looking forward to a few good years as a civilian. 

I certainly think that the world has its problems, i.e. violence, poverty, starvation and, as we've seen lately, mother nature.  But looking back, it seems there have been problems and changes since the first evidence of recorded history.  Even in the worst case scenario, such as a nuclear world-wide war, someone would survive.  They might get a bit lonely, but at least the world wouldn't be gone.

Of course I could be totally wrong--however, if so, the good news is I won't be alone when I "cross over"  Party in the sky anyone?!
