I voted for president obama last term, but I am starting
To think he wont make it a second term, what do you think?

I've been so caught up in the Contest/Promo forum, which doesn't give you credit for your posts there, that I totally forgot about posting elsewhere. I went to check to see how many posts I had so far for March, and it said ONE! Hehe. What a slacker I am, shame on me.

So, I went-a-hunting to see what might be of interest, and I came across your question first. This sounds like a great place to get started, so here I go.

Will Obama go for round two? Funny you should ask. I think it was just after Christmas that my wife and I were getting excited about the fact that Obama had just one more year to go! We've been having such a hard time financially, and here in Colorado, forget about finding a job. Nearly impossible these days. And this has been consistent during Obama's 3 years as president. Granted, much of the burden he's facing isn't his fault, and I know he's got a hell of a job digging us out of this quagmire. But boy-o-boy has it been rough.

Forget about saving, forget about vacationing. Our primary focus is on keeping food on the table, and in our tummies. Keeping the bills paid in full, because lawd only knows it's nearly impossible once you double up the utilities! Fortunately, there's a lot of social help out there. Food Stamps, and many churches opening their wallets to help out with little financial gifts. We've survived, but it's not been from what the government is doing, necessarily.

So, for two months, January & February, we were getting happy with Obama's reign ending in just one year short. Then, it dawned on us --- HE'S GOT TWO MORE YEARS! ARGGGGHHHHH!! Oh my stars, all that we've had to endure in just two years, has to be endured again for another two years. Lawd have mercy on us.

Which brings me, finally, to answering your question. If we are feeling that two years seems like three; and if we are feeling the dread of two more years; and if we are feeling like nothing better is in the future, than I'm quite certain other people are feeling the same. Frankly, I'll have had enough after two more years, that I couldn't even fathom doing another FOUR after that! No way on gawd's green earth could I do another FOUR!

They say actions speak louder than words, and so far, I don't see much action coming from Washington. Mind you, I'm not a person that reads newspapers, and I surely don't follow all that government is doing. So, I can't debate politics. What I know though is that as an American going through this mess, I don't feel relieved in any other way, than taking my daily Rolaids pill. That's about all the relief I'm feelling.

Personally, I don't think he will have a second term.  I think the next couple years in Washington will be full of arguments between the parties and not much being done to effectively help the American people.  There was an article on yahoo mentioning the increase in employment - sadly, most of the new jobs were of a service nature - fast food, customer service. Where will the next big industry, opportunity of employment come from?  Should Americans get into the habit of creating multiple streams of income?  Several part-time gigs?  Online earning?

If they were government grants, trust me- in the long run, that is a very good thing. I know you must be pretty po'd about it, but things like this are dragging the economy down because they're practically giving away money that does not exist.

I don't think he will run again, if he does I really don't beleive in my heart that the same people who voted for him will do it again.  If he did run again, I will vote for him because he is doing his best to clean up the mess the Bushes made.  They left a pile of you know what and expect him to clean it up in one term?  I don't think so.

No he has failed to keep his promises and has too many scandal ridden people in his administration, in addition the expansion of the war, taxes, and making enemies of the big corporations and the people who actually pay taxes will see a back lash like he never dreamed possible. You are right, many folks who voted for him, have walk away from him.  What about 9/11? 'the bushes' were hit with war games? Were they suppose to just let the terrorist go and do nothing about them or their threats? I don't think so. Mr Bush put his life on the line for this country. I am certainly glad I didn't have his job to make those kind of decision. unlike Obama, who can't seem to make a decision. with all the folks getting killed now in Lybia and those killed in Iraq last year. He picks & chooses his battles. it is a leftist, he gets into the battle. He is not a president for all the people, only the left.
Our country is going broke, and he is one of the problems. I would like to see Senator Allen West Florida run. He certainly holds the correct views. He is a great man. a STatesman and that is what we need

I hope he doesn't. I did not vote for him. He lied about things he said he would do and instead of doing what he said he did the opposite. I do not believe he is the right man for the job. I thought Hillary was and she upset me when she gave it away I believe she would have been the right person for the job.

There's a certain path that many people don't see. Gov't grants = money that's really not there anymore = less jobs existing = graduating students can't find jobs to pay back those loans = further down the deficit pipe we go. I personally don't want my money going to people in school because it's my money and I should decide where it goes and to whom. People need to take out loans from places that actually have money that exists or work for a bit, get enough money to go, and then worry about student loans down the line when they are depleted. That's pretty much what I'm doing right now. Colleges also need to lower their rates because they're ridiculous nowadays (as I'm sure you know).
