Everyone gets it. What is your prevention method for acne/pimples? How do you remedy pimples when you get one?

I use Garnier Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure Daily Exfoliating Gel Cleanser in the mornings

Right now, I have some leftover Murad products an aunt gave me.  I think they're OK, but no better than much cheaper products with the same active ingredients.

i really haven't had any significant pimple problems
or acne since the word "teen" fell off the end of my
age. it seems when i hit my 20s, my skin started to
change for the better...

i remember using all sorts of things on my pimples though.
i'd pop them (worst thing you can do! i'm seeing the scars
from it now)... but i would pop them and immediately dip
a Q-tip in some salt and rub it on the open sore. it stung,
but it dried it up pretty quick and healed overnight.

i would also spread toothpaste over my zits before going
to bed and this usually helped with drying them out so
i wouldn't have to pop 'em (owww  :sad1:)
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

I have been blessed with averaging only two pimples per year since I was born fourty seven years ago.  My wife was cursed with a bumper crop of pimples from 6th grade through her senior year in high school.  My daughter has been handed my wife's genes but has the purloined, pimple problem put asunder by switching between Pro-active one month and Clearasil the next.

When I shower, I wash my face with Neutrogena Face Wash. Then before bed I take off my make-up and do an extra clean with Clearasil Face Cleansing Pads. They smell really strong, but work wonders! My pimples get really bad when I forget to clean my face at night, otherwise I just get a few here and there. I do pop them and then use TopCare to cover the marks. I have been lucky to not get any scars, but I can't stand to not pop them.

I never really had super bad acne, but every once in awhile I get some big problem pimples that are embrassing. I started taking birth control to regulate my hormones cuz I heard it helped with acne. It really does cuz my face gets perfectly clear the first week but then the last week I bust out like no other. I just figure oh well, it's something we all live with.
