Tonight we're having string beans, stewed tomatoes and bake pork chops. Trying to eat healthy, not having bread at this meal. I've gotten enough carbs in for today.

I am going to make Buffalo Chicken casserole. It is an amazing dish that tastes so good.

Putting a Banquet Homestyle Bakes Creamy Chicken & Biscuits in the oven

my son used to LOVE this meal. i don't make them anymore because they have almost no nutritional value and way too much sodium so i have adapted some of my favorite recipes into a similar bake. i boil a chicken breast with salt and pepper and shred it when its cooled. i make mashed potatoes, gravy and biscuits from scratch and pile it all into a casserole dish and it is delicious

Chicken and dumplings for me tonight!  The half-cheating kind; I'll cook the chicken and make the broth, but my dumplings are canned biscuits ripped into smaller pieces.     It's slightly cheaper to use canned biscuits, rather than making the dough from scratch. (not to mention the time saved)

It will either be a Healthy Choice steamed meal or Lean Cuisine.  When you're an empty-nester you don't buy groceries and cook very often.  I miss that!

It's Friday so we will probably order pizza or grill burgers - not sure yet. Fridays are not planned very often.

Four Authentic Mexican Tacos from the little taco stand across the street and nacho cheese chips. I bought some limes at the grocery store. Since they are now so expensive, they no longer serve them, they only give you lemon slices with the tacos. THAT IS HOW YOU KNOW THAT WE ARE IN A DEPRESSION---NOT A RECESSION---WHEN THE MEXICAN TACO PLACE DOES NOT PROVIDE LIMES BECAUSE THEY COST OVER A DOLLAR FOR TWO !!!
