I ask bc my dog seems to really display emotions. I swear she is like a child. She expresses happy, sad, mad, impatient, shame... I dont think I am making it up or reading too much into her behavior.. I genuinely think she has feelings.

Of course they have feelings, don't you ever see a dog get sad, when you leave, or happy jumping for joy when you return, or happy over a bone. They have feelings like you and I, just not so complex, they don't sit and worry if there hair looks okay. lol.

of course they have feelings and need love and care just like humans do.  You can see it in their manner of behavior that they show.

they most certainly do.

my dog can pout like nobody else.
if he's in trouble, he hides under chairs.
if he's happy, he runs through the house like a tornado with his tail wagging the entire time.
if he's sad, his ears droop and he stares at the floor.

Of course they do!
I grew up with a Maltese and when he was mad at me because I didn't come home early or something (even though he had my mom with him all day!) as soon as he saw me in my room, he jumped on my bed and peed on pourpose. And he made sure I was waching what he was doing. Little stinker! And this happened to every one of my family who made the dog mad. Oh I sure miss him... :(

Of course dogs have feelings. I recently show in the news a golden lab who was being punished for doing something bad & the emotional expressions & grumising the dog made. I think it's on youtube probably under guilty dog or very bad dog. Check it out.

Definitely... they wag their tails when they are happy or excited and whine or cry when they are sad or upset.

yea they do. My roommates dogs always got that sad look on their faces when they got yelled at for doing something bad. I actually felt bad even tho I don't think I could ever own a dog. I grew up on a farm and for some reason I just dont want to have animals in my house. Probably from seeing the way it is on the farm, it swung my opinion.
