Has anyone ever tried those PTC sites?
« on: February 04, 2011, 10:25:56 pm »
I'm definately not advertising them or asking for links, I'm just asking, if anyone's tried them...

I did for awhile, few of them I made a couple dollars but nothing really, I'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place, I'm new as you can see and my son was recently hospitalized, so I'm on a Family Medical Leave of Absence from work and my fiance recieves SSI and that's definately not enough to pay bills, so I'm looking for alternatives, this site being one of them, but just curious, any experience in anything else people?  Anything that actually works? Again not asking for a speech so you can get my referral, just asking for some advice and real advice would be appreciated.  I apologize if I may come across as stingy but if anyone knows, when looking for this kind of advice, it's not easy to find the "truthful" kind, too many people are advertising out there for their own benefit and claim it "all" works, but we all know 99% of the time, it doesn't.

Hey even if it requires alittle of an investment, I'm willing to go with it under good advice about it but not willing to risk it just on the wide open web if you know what I mean haha

There are several that pay; however, PTC sites in general are really not worth your time.  PTC Investigations' Legit Sites provides a good list; bear in mind that some sites still go scam or bankrupt from the legit list.

Since we live in the United States, there are more ways to make online money than anywhere else. It really comes down to getting referrals and that unfortunately takes time, no matter how good you are. Once you make a few friends and get the ball rolling, having your own blog helps tell your story and get others to follow your example. It also helps if you can get your user name to come up in Google so people can find you.

Anyone who says you can't make money with PTC is just bragging about being a loser. ANYONE can if they stick with it and learn to get referrals. So it takes a few years, where will you be if you do nothing? I have made thousands of dollars with it, so I KNOW it can be done.

Sorry about your difficult situation. I've tried a number of PTC sites, and the only way to really get anywhere is to buy stuff. I use them because they provide a little bonus for getting things I really need. Fusion Cash is the best of these sites; you really CAN cash out quickly w/o buying lots of stuff. But it won't pay your bills. Try substituting cheap pearl barley sweetened with jam or cinnaman sugar for expensive breakfast cereal. Eat bean soup with rice a couple times a week. Buy a gallon of milk and freeze some; it's a far better deal than quarts and half-gallons. When you can get some meat or vegetables for under $1/pound, buy a bunch and cook/freeze what you can't use till later. Pick up and sell recyclables. Good luck, dear. I hope things get better soon.

Whatever you do, do not use the ten dollar one. They are definitely a scam!  If you do sign up with a few others, be sure not to click on the same offers that you already did on that site, or another site. It doesn't matter if you are on another site, it is considered fraud..  The same goes with the video ads.  I enjoy watching those, and I didn't know it until recently (hope I am not in trouble) but you cannot watch the same one on another site, either.  The advertisers can tell , and eventually you will be banned from earning sites.  Just a little information I found out recently...

Anyone who says you can't make money with PTC is just bragging about being a loser.

Say what?  That's rather harsh there.  It IS the reality of PTC sites that they are not worth your time, UNLESS you have some committed referrals under your belt (which can be quite hard to come by).  A person isn't a loser if they'd rather rely on themselves for online income than depend on the fruits of strangers.  They're just being practical.

@Oldbuddy
Is there a tutorial for help on getting referrals?  I have tried very hard.. it seems nothing I do is the right thing.. I have a few here and there, but more than half are not even active.. a few didn't even confirm ..  People ignore email invites, I post on my my F page,.. I don't know what else to do.. Even family and friends think I am crazy or something  :confused1:

I used to do a lot of PTC sites now I only do a few and most of them I only do for advertising because you will only make a few dollars every few months from them if you are lucky but you won't make any substantial money from it even with referrals because most are not active.  Old Buddy with all due respect is long been retired so he has a lot more time to devote to building up his base than a a busy working mother with a sick child and household to take care of.

I use PTC sites and convert my money to credits to advertise other sites.  Sometimes I get sign ups sometimes I don't.  If I were in your shoes and needed real money now I would go with companies that do customer service at home.  They are out there.  ratracerebellion.com has a good list of them.  They include westathome.com, liveops.com and some others I can't think of right now.

You can try one or two PTCs to start with and add more if you have time to devote to it but if you think doing PTCs are a way for you to make decent money it's not the way to go.

You have to constantly advertise.  You have to get you url out there everywhere you can.

My family also thinks i'm crazy for doing this, until my 25 or 30 dolors come in and you can buy a lot of grocerys for that amount at savea-lot.

I'm on 2 PTC sites and I've made money on both. You just have to find the right ones.
