i think good friendships take a lot of work, honestly.
but the work shouldn't be a burden, it should be worth it
for both ends. you should get as much as you give, and
vice versa. you should encourage them, be genuinely happy
for them, lend an open ear, an open mind (especially with things
you disagree on), and agree to disagree on the things that
can be hard to let go of.

I think in order to have a good relationship with friends are you have to understand and trust them a lot. Know their point of view and such. Holding onto a friendship is hard , so I think one another should have a lot of trust in each other.
