Fingernails
« on: January 26, 2011, 09:24:08 am »
Are they long?  Are they short?  Are they manicured?  Do you wear polish?

I usually have mine a big long, but don't wear polish.  The other day I snapped off four of the nails on my right hand.  Only the longer thumb nail is left.  I can't figure out how someone operates without fingernails.  My son-in-law bites his way down.  I didn't realize how much I used mine to open things, etc., until they were missing.

I hate too long fingernails also I hate too short fingernails I think the short one doesn't reflect the beauty of the hand,  mine are medium and I don't wear polished, very rare I use manicure I don't know I love to see them clean with nothing over

Mine used to grow really long and I used to polish them but I can't be bothered any more.  They don't grow long any more because with my job I'm constantly breaking them off opening cans and metal bins all the time so they don't get long any more.  I was actually thinking a couple of days ago of giving myself a French Manicure because they look nice now.  They're short but not too short.

From a man's perspective: really long nails are grotesque and lacking in class while really short nails lack in feminity.  Un-manicured nails are a turn-off as well as hang nails and uneven cuticles.  Men's nails should be trimmed and filed.  Dirt under any size nails is a hygenic problem and not someone that I would avoid physical contact with.

As long as they are clean I guess it's alright to be a little bit long.

I keep my nails very short and clean. I rarely wear polish on them because it chips off way too easy. I do wear polish on my toes though.

;D I wear my nails rather long now. I like to keep them polished and neat. I understand what you mean about not being able to do without nails. When I break one , I feel handicapped. I don't like to wear false nails so when I break one or two I have to cut the rest off. I just don't like the way my hands look when I have a couple of nails shorter than the rest.  :peace:

My nails are short but not too short. When they do grow they tend to break off easily if I don't polish them with clear polish.

I never let mine get too long; I don't like it. I keep them nice and short and manicured. I never really polish them unless I'm going out :/

I keep them about 4-5 mm past the nail bed.  It's long enough to look nice, but they start to break if I go much longer.

I usually keep at least a sparkly gloss on them.

Fingernails are the dirtiest part of the body, second to the mouth. It's dirtier than the *bleep*.
