If it's bad go to the emergency room.

I feel sorry for you.  I had a preemie and at first had a pediatrician that rushed through the first exam and bolted from the room.  When the nurse came in I told her to ask the doctor to come back because I was a first time mom with a 3 lb baby and needed to ask some questions.  She left and came back and said.  He said I could answer them for you.  I then knew that I was in the wrong doctor's office.  I changed pediatricians and then found one who once told me that he would be available on Christmas if I needed him because my baby was sick a few days before Christmas.  I now use another one that wound up being closer, but they also bend over backwards to help answer all questions or help in any way and never refuse to see a sick child or offer assistance.  If you feel that your doctor is not doing everything possible, my advice is to find someone who will.

I will say a prayer for you and your child and like the poster above encourage you to go to the ER if you need to or do not hesitate to seek a second opinion.

Yes. Go to the emergency room. You can look for another doctor later.  The baby needs 24 hour supervision so you will be able to have some peace of mind. My daughter had to take her baby to the emergency room Friday night. They kept him for two days until he was clear.  I also will pray. Your baby will be fine. But do find another doctor. It's important for you and your baby.

I agree with everybody else, find a doctor that cares.  I used to go to Kaiser Permanente when my oldest daughter was a baby, we went on a trip and she had a fever on our way back, when to the clinic first thing in the morning, they checked her told me that she had a "Virus" she would get fever for 3 days and then get blisters in her feet and hand, they gave us Prescription Motrin (was not out over the counter yet) and even with that the fever would not go down, I was at there clinic everyday for a week, and all the could tell me was that she had a virus, since she did not have an Ear Infection, argghh.  Well finally I took her in on the 7th day, she could not breath well and raise HELL and told them that either they figure out what is going on with her or I will sleep there.  They decide it to do some Blood test and take an x-ray.  My poor daughter was on the verge of RHEUMATIC FEVER and the x-rays showed she had pneumonia.  I dumped them at the first oportunity I had and have never gone back to them.

My daughter has some serious teeth problem, the major one is her teeth being yellow, and the dentist told us that is because of the Rheumatic fever, that caused her permanent teeth to go yellow and they will not go white no matter what we do, unless she gets veneers.

Make sure you baby is sleeping elevated it, get a vaporizer and if she is too sick run to the ER as fast as you can.  Keep us post it.

If the baby has a fever I would take her to the ER. If it's just the stuffiness from a cold, then definitely put a Vicks Vaporizer in the room. That helps so much. Also put Vicks on the baby's heels and cover them with warm socks. It sucks that you can't use any medicine, but make sure to have some saline drops to loosen and remove the stuff from the nose. I hope everything gets better.

Keep the fever down with 1/2 the dose for older child's liquid motrin. Use a humidifier. If you don't feel your baby is getting any better or is getting much worse then yes please do take the child to the hospital! I hope you have a good suction bulb for the babies nose as well. If not please do get one!
