There is no guarantee that the books listed here are inspired works, or genuine books actually included in original versions of writings used by, and considered true by the Early Christian Church.

If there are writings in those books that are more then just discrepancies and actually contradict other books it's a forgery.

Well if you feel that way than how can you feel the entire Bible is true? The entire New Testament is completely contradictory from the Old Testament. In the Old Testament it says "an eye for eye & a tooth for a tooth" but the New Testament says "turn the other cheek and forgive".  Besides that - the King James Bible was a version that was Translated during James's rule as King of England. The bible has been translated several different ways from the original Arabic text. So, how can really and honestly believe that this one version is the ONLY correct version?? How do you know its not a correct version that may be just missing some pieces?? Or some pieces got left out because they didn't meet King James's standards or liking???

I agree with all of the people that say it is best to research what you believe so fully in. As well I agree that with anything that gets translated from any language to another language - there are some misinterpretations and things left out. So its not really right to automatically dismiss all other forms of the Bible as wrong - just cuz its not the one you've always studied.

I believe the King James version of the Bible is a legitimate copy of the writings of the Apostles. It is possible that some writings may have been lost, however, the bible as it is now has enough revelation truth to guide anyone to God and salvation.

King James rewrote the Bible in the Kings english. Do you agree that the Bible was written by Jews to Jews in mostly Hebrew and there are no "J"'s in the Hebrew language. HIS mother named HIM YESHUA, America calls him JESUS.

Yes, however God knew that language would evolve. It's like a person going to France who is named Michael. The French will call him Michelle because that's how they pronounce it, it doesn't mean that that is not his name.

the bible is man made set of writings in order to try to control the worlds population, that is wrong if you ask me, we are a land of free so why we still pressing the issue, if people want to know the bible they can go get one if they wanna go to your church they know where it is, so we all need to stop trying to recruit each other...that is why i went to pagan they didnt come to me, i went to them, then they dont havew a bunch of rules to follow, just one   do as you will just harm none,   which is how we should live any how

have you bothered to read the Bible? my son use to accuse me to stop witnessing to him. he writes music, plays instruments, etc. I use to tell him his music would go no where until he gave it to GOD, WHO gave the ability & wisdom to him. He grabbed a Bible & read it to prove me wrong. that was in 1990. since than, he has 9 or 10 albums out. All about GOD, played across the world, travels the world singing & playing his originals from GOD about GOD. he is a great witness.
no one is trying to recruit you travis, those of us who have read it, and felt the spirit know what eternity holds and I would not even want my enemy to go there, while I walking on streets of gold.
you can remain stiff necked, hard hearted that will just cause your arteries to harden and blood will not flow
or you can at least read the Bible to make a wise decision to become one of us, or spend eternity in a fiery pit.
that is surely your choice, we are just called to tell you, and pray that you will choose to read the Bible
it is for your good, not ours. We are not called to stand before judgment for you, only to tell you.
So I encourage you to at least get a Bible to prove all of us recruiters wrong, do it in wisdom
stop stumbling thru life, become wise. but again, that is your choice.

Nobody on here is recruiting anyone that I know of.  This forum is made up of all sorts of people with different beliefs or not.  It is a free country.  Believing in God, or not.....is a personal free choice.  As far as I can read, nobody is pressing anybody to go to their church.  You are mistaken.

This is a "Debate and Discuss" thread and subjects are offered up for just that.  Your opinion is welcome, just as those with an opposing side.  Welcome to the forum and Fusion Cash!

well i am sorry if you or anyone that thought i was meaning you...i assure you i was not...i was talking about the religions that go to your door and knock...(mormons and jehovah witnesses) yes i did belong to them both as well as babtist...i was also a minister...so yes i feel for you it is nice to know someone cares...and yes i do also believe in god but i also believe in a goddess, and no i dont believe in the devil or heaven..

What did you expect? Not to bash your kid or anything, but seriously watch the South Park episode about christian music. People are saps for anything they hold dearly and will pay through the nose no matter how bad it is. There's a reason christian music can't go platinum. I must admit your kid is pretty smart though-- it's always more profitable to jump onto something popular and ride with it (Usher and Bieber, anyone?) instead of doing something independant and true to the heart.

Be open-minded and free or live with a dumb nonsensical threat that religious minions keep throwing around like it's not rude? Hmm...Travis, you're obviously a smart and selfless man and I'd like to hear your story more in depth.

I say read as many versions as you can.  The truth of the word comes out.  The Gospel is so easy a child can understand it.....anyone who makes it more difficult....may God have mercy on them....
