Help in Sending My Referral Link

I have someone who requested my FC referral link.   This is a person who is on a forum that I post on.  I have tried to copy and send my referral link.  It does not highlight on my end.  I can not click on.  I do not yet know if it is allowing the person on thee other end to click on.  Is that the way it is supposed to be or am I doing something wrong?  If so, how do I do it right?

It should light up, unless the Forum you are on doesn't provide for linkage.

In that event, the person just needs to type in your entire referral link in the address box in order to link to FC with you as a referral.

This is a message I receive on many emails -- "if the link doesn't work, just copy/paste it to the address box or type it in"

For me, it always means "type it in"
I've never been able to copy/paste anything to the address box.

  now this is something that i been trying to figure out since i been on the site and i still havig figure it out yet and i been doing exactly as follow and still nothing.

Well, I did something right or she did something right.  She signed up for FC, giving me as the referee and I did get my referral bonus.  Even if they can not sign up using a referral link, they can give your screen name as the referee.
