I have been entertained by all the information contained in this thread and I disagree with he title 'Useless Information'.  I'm sorry I don't have more to add but I'm at an age where everything I retain must be important because there's so much that I used to remember and don't anymore, what's left must be terribly usefu.

My useful fact of the day: In the original version of Sleeping Beauty, the prince did not kiss the princess to wake her up. Instead he raped her dead body, which impregnated her with twins. The prince's wife learned of his illegitamte children and ordered them to be killed and fed to her husband in his soup. Luckily, the cook refused.

I just learned more here than school + college. 0:

• I've learned that Latin doesn't have a 'J' so the temples for Julius Caesar were Lulius.
