In my experience, it depends on a case-by-case situation. At parties and bars, I've personally seen more puke come out of people than the truth.

Agreed! Some people tend to just open up while others can't even form a sentence let alone tell the truth. Alcohol affects everyone differently.

YES!  Because I really like beer, and it shows...... when I drink it!!!

Actually I believe you remember or say what you want to when you are drunk. Why we choose to forget certain times, or get drunk to the point of Alcohol poisoning has always bewildered me......

I am not sure if this is true.  :-
My friend got really buzzed yesterday.Him and his girl was arguing and he told his girlfriend he wants to see other people. The next day when he sobered up he swore he didn't mean it. She was telling him that that was exactly what he wanted because the truth comes out when you drink.Do you believe that this is true?
 :dontknow:
It has always been my experience that when somebody gets drunk they let their "true feelings" come out, speak what is truly on their mind and all that, because when the person is sober they are "too scared" to actually speak what they are actually feeling, the booze helps them to feel "braver" to speak what the individual is actually thnking and yes; I am speaking from experience on this subject.

It has been my experience that people that are arguing (drunk or sober) say things that they don't mean but they are just pissed off at the time and want to hurt that person because they are angry, feeling hurt, etc.

As for things you say when drunk being the truth..... I guess that would depend on how truthful you are generally. I don't think that having alcohol in your system is a night-pass to be an *bleep*. Do some people see it that way? Sure. Whether or not that guy meant it I would guess probably not but since I don't know him I can't really say.

I think that, occasionally, the truth comes out but, generally speaking, drunken conversations are heightened, distortions of reality and/or exagerations of whatever is bothering or pleasing a person at the time.  Alcohol is a poison, that I enjoy, that numbs the central nervous system and dulls the senses.

It depends on how much control the drunk has maintained. A really drunk person will probably tell the truth and more. When the tongue is loosened, hold on because it is about to flood.

i believe that he drank himself into believing that that was the truth. that may not have been what he wanted but that might have been the way he felt while he was drunk :) :peace:
