After christmas sales
« on: December 30, 2010, 04:58:10 pm »
What stores did you visit after christmas? What deals did you get?

I went to walmart and could not believe the lines (well, i could believe the lines, but was stil horrified). I didnt need anything but hate to miss a good sale. I bought some wrapping, etc. at 50% off to use next year.

the day after christmas seemed like black friday
all over again! goodness. i didn't expect things to be
so busy...

i made a trip to target, where just about everything
was picked over by the time i got there. but i did manage
to grab a couple of cute ornaments for gifts next year
that were 50% off. i also hit cracker barrel's gift shop
because i had spotted some really neat gift/decor items
there before christmas and they had all seasonal 70% off!
i was so excited. i spent $7 on an armful of goodies...

big lots, the dollar stores, and walmart were rather bare.
but i loved the deals i got otherwise!

I went to Kohl's and Ross and the places were awful! Clothes racks were empty and people had literally dumped clothes on the floor and piled up in the dressing rooms. I think everyone should work in retail once in their life then they'd have a clue about how to act in a store.

Yeah I dropped by the ole walmart and it was quite ridiculous there. So I decided I'd just chill out for a few more weeks.

I went to kmart, walmart and family dollar.  at the dollar store i got 4 rolls of christmas paper for .50 each and at walmart i got some paper for 1.25 each and some tags for 1.00  we are planning on being in tennessee or georgia on vacation next christmas so i held off on the lights and tree decor, since we wont be home.... :notworthy:

I don't usually shop sales after Christmas, especially for Christmas decorations.  By next Christmas I will not  remember where I put them.

I don't go to any after holiday sales. It's too crowded, and I don't want to create demand by looking around since I have more than I need.

Happy New Year to everyone

I didn't put myself thru that horror of after Christmas sales.  Its worst than Black Friday.  I just  cant stand to do some of the things I use to do or  afford it.

TOTALLY agree with you. punishment for small crimes
should be a set number of hours in a retail store instead
of jail  :P
