Absolutely not.  I lived with them for many years without a problem and I could do it again in a heartbeat.

A world where people don't expect you to be available to them every second of every day, all year long?!  How I wish it were like that again.

My wife just got a phone through her job a few months ago.  It's our first phone.  If not for getting one from work, we'd still not have one and would be doing just fine and happy without one.

I remember a time before cell phones and I'm not that old.  Remember pagers?  The world was able to function then so if cell phones disappeared from the face of the earth our lives wouldn't end.  I personally would not lose my mind.  A cell phone is convenient but it's not a matter of life or death.

I would probably live a happier life without a cell phone.  Only reason I got one was for work reasons - it was that or stay up all night watching for computer jobs crashing to know to fix them.

Back when pagers were the "in" thing - I recall a sales person trying to convince me to get one so people would be able to contact me anywhere at anytime.  My response was - you don't understand, I don't want people to find me.  They can just leave a message and I'll call them back in my own time.

I think many technology advances have really just screwed up society, for lack of a better phrase. WE are so dependent on technology and being able to communicate anywhere at anytime. I wonder if anyone writes letters anymore??

I wouldn't lose my mind.  You could always use your landline, pay phone, or email.

There are no cell phones left in the world. Just smartphones and such devices that fail at doing the work of an actual phone.
And no, I wouldmn't lose my mind. I hardly use my phone even as a phone anymore. It's all about the computer.

I don't think I'd lose my mind or go crazy, but it'd definitely be a great inconvenience that'd take some getting used to.

I would be very happy.  One less bill to worry about.  Maybe I will be able to talk to my kids more.   I think that a cell phone can be helpful sometimes, but we do not use the phone for what it was intended for.  :D

No.  I survived just fine the first 15 years of my life when cell phones weren't in vogue.  While I think they're convenient and important for emergencies, I see so many people with a dependence on them, and I really wonder why.  There's so much more to life than texting, gossiping, or updating your Facebook status via mobile!
