Insurance companies suck

Someone I know ran into my truck and smashed in the passenger side door so bad that it will no longer open. Her insurance company does not want to pay to get it fixed, they just want to total it out and give us what the blue book value is. This would be fine if it wasn't an 18 year old truck. It may be old with a paint job to match an 18 year old truck but it is all we have and it runs great. How are we supposed to get something better on what they will pay us for ours? Why can't they JUST FIX OUR DOOR? Why is it the law to have auto insurance but not the law for the insurance company to be required to pay for repairs when needed? What are we paying them for? All I can say is INSURANCE COMPANIES SUCK AND THEY CAN KISS MY

You got that right! All these companies love to take our money on a monthly basis, charge us a penalty if we are late, and what do we get--lack luster claim service. How come we can't charge them a late fee for not getting our claim checks to us within a week. Worst of all, we are all forced to pay for this! The insurance business is raking in so much Doe that FLO, and that green lizard bombard us on an hourly basis.
