Yes unfortunately I have had several teeth pulled and that was because they were stuck to my permanent teeth that were trying to grow in. It freaked me out.

nope never
have all my 32 teeth intact

Well that is great I have half a mouthful of teeth, When I was married my former husbands grandfather was a dentist and when he saw my teeth or lack of teeth he was not happy so he went right to work to fix everything which included pulling a tooth and another one bites the dust after that was done he proceeded to make several crowns and a partial denture thankfully his services were free as we were just married and very poor college students. All this was over 40 years ago and I still have a gold crown that is intact. Maybe I should sell it lol
It was an experience not to be forgotten. :peace:

Yeah, I got a tooth pulled about 6 months ago. It was the tooth in the back upper-right side of my mouth. The dentist told me it was gonna be hard to keep clean and that it already have a cavity anyways. I wasn't too worried about it as much as my other tooth. My other tooth is right below the one that they took out. Anyways, the tooth was half gone because of a cavity or a filling came out. Somehow, they managed to save it. I still need to get it crown but, my insurance don't cover it. Its gonna cost $400 or $600. I don't have that kind of money at the moment. I still need a root canal done too but, my insurance don't cover it. I believe its gonna get pulled out anyways. I wish I could start over with a fresh clean set of teeth. I would take care of them a bit better than I did when I was a kid.

I have been lucky with no pain so far.  I am using salt water a few times a day to rinse it out.

I had 6 baby teeth pulled when I was a kid and I've had 8 permanent teeth pulled. 4 were my wisdom teeth and 4 were regular teeth. I have a very small mouth and had to get them pulled in order to have braces and make my smile pretty. It's no big deal. The worst for me was my wisdom teeth because they had to go in and dig them out of my gums but even that didn't hurt. They gave me good meds and after a day I was back to normal.

I, unfortunately, had most of my missing teeth pulled by military dentists. Apparently they pulled rather than saved teeth.

I'm so scared of getting my wisdom teeth pulled. I am seriously dreading the day when they tell me I have to have them pulled..

One time I was at my boyfriend's house and he was brushing his teeth and two of them just broke. One was already cracked and the dentist said he needed to have them pulled forever ago (his mom was too cheap to get it done. >:( ) but they seriously just broke while he was brushing his teeth. He was pulling chunks of tooth out and there was blood everywhere and when he called his mom she was like "I'll look at it when I got home." so we had to explain to her that no, I was gonna drive him to the dentist right then.

Then my dentist said I had cavities in one of my wisdom teeth and she wouldn't even think of filling them.  I haven't had a cavity in years and these were in teeth that were impossible to fill as they were.

I have seen wisdom teeth be decayed and not filled because when filling a tooth it is important to keep things dry and towards the posterior of the mouth it becomes difficult. They usually leave them alone until it is time to pull them and they just "watch" them in the meantime

I have had many teeth pulled as a child to make room for my permanent teeth.  The worst was when they pulled 2 baby teeth and then at the same time went up in my gums and pulled the permanent ones....PAINFUL~~ The dentist's assistant was just rubbing my hand as i was crying saying he is almost finished!

As I grew up I knew I wanted to work in dentistry. As a hygienist I love working with kids explaining to them how important it is to keep there teeth clean to help so they don't have problems as an adult

Yes, I had my wisdom teeths pulled.  But I didn't feel anything because I was put to sleep, but after that when I woke up I felt the pain.

Nope.  Had two root canals though.  Not too bad an experience.  Lots of Novocain and a gentle dentist did help a lot. ;D
