Good movie, made me cry!

I love when the Avatar glows, it would be something to see him do all the elements at the same time.

Have you seen it?

Have you seen the show and do you realize how racist the maker of the movie is? :[

All the characters in the show are very clearly meant to be asian, but he casted all white characters except of course for the background characters. Not to mention how in the show they had actual writing and he decided to replace that with scribbles because scribbles are apparently good enough.

Not to mention sexist. The main girl character was made out to be much whimpier than she was in the show, and there were some other things I forget.

I loved it. It was a very good movie. I have seen the cartoon. My son watches it all the time. I think I might go to the theater when the next one comes out.

Yeah this first one was based just off the first season of the show. My boyfriend loves the show, he watches it all the time.

I know of the cartoon cause my nieces watch it, but I heard the movie was total crap. When it comes on TV I'll probably check it out.

I've watched the cartoon from beginning to end, and it was very good. I have not seen the movie but thought it would be awful and from what I've heard, it was.

I've heard one of the things they removed were the Kyoshi warriors. In the cartoon, by coming to their island, the heroes learn a few things: Aang learns about a previous avatar (Avatar Kyoshi [a female]), and even though they are an all female warrior clan, they allow Sokka to train with them and he learns not to be sexist. One of them even becomes Sokka's girlfriend. I wonder if lightning bending, metal bending, and even blood bending will appear in one of the movies.

For anyone who has watched the movie, did they explain the cycle of Avatars (Earth - Fire - Air - Water)? Because Aang was from the air tribe, when he dies, the next Avatar will be born in the water tribe. The Avatar before Aang was from the fire tribe.

It is an asian cartoon but LMAO!!
Avatar the Last Airbender was created by two men working at Nickelodeon which makes it not an Asian cartoon.

I think the story line in this film is great. But as for the action, I think it was a little cheesy. This a super hero movie. They used all the visual effects effectively on displaying the elements, like the water, and other elements the air bender was dealing with, but the action itself was slow and too realistic. The boy that played Aang did a good job on his part as a martial artist, but i think I would blame the stunt crew and action coordinators. And also, i think the boy is a pretty good martial artist but not that good of an actor.

It was a cartoon called Avatar the Last Airbender which aired on Nickelodeon. Then a movie based on it was made but Avatar had to be dropped from the name.

my family and i loved the cartoon so we were way excited about the movie. now it was good, but definitely not as good as we had expected. they cast the role of katara very well but we were disappointed that sokka was not all goofy and clumsy like he was in the cartoon. we enjoyed the movie but are really hoping that the sequels are better (assuming this one did well enough for them to make sequels)

huh  ???

At age 12, he achieved a first-degree black belt rank with the American Taekwondo Association and is proficient with a variety of Eastern weapons. He is part of a taekwondo club, from which he heard about Paramount Pictures' open casting call to play Aang. For his audition, he sent in a homemade video that depicted him showing off his skills in martial arts

You're just being stupid.

Just because the main character was good at martial arts doesn't mean my opinion is invalid or that I'm being stupid. Tons and tons and tons of people agree with me. Just google it.

You're just being rude. :D
