Most of my family put up their trees a few days after Thanksgiving.  I don't have the time/space for one.

I really don't think there is a set "time" to put up a tree.  Every family has different preferences.  We put it up the weekend after Thanksgiving.  I think it would be very weird to have Christmas decorations up during Thanksgiving, but others seem to enjoy it.  Our neighbor has had lights up since last weekend.

We put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving. We have an artificial tree though (who can afford real anymore), but if we were to do a real tree we would wait until closer to Christmas.

The day after Thanksgiving was our day to decorate the tree whether it was artificial or real.  Of course it kept me watering the real tree to keep it alive LOL.  Actually, we would put up the tree rather than go shopping on Black Friday.

I usually get my tree a couple weekends before Christmas.  I get a real tree, so this timing allows the tree to be fresh through New Years.  When I get it earlier than that, the needles already are falling just after Christmas.

LOL!  One of the local radio stations has an ad this year that says something like this-"can you please wait until after your first post-thanksgiving BM to start stapling those lights to the gutters please?"  It's supposed to be a "save Thanksgiving" cause thing   LOL!!!!  I sort of agree with them-let's take one holiday at a time, ok?

I say the day after Thanksgiving. That's when my family always puts it up. Some of my other distant relatives put it up the first week of November. I start cracking up all the time because they like to do everything ahead of time.

Generally the weekend after Thanksgiving but not a spacific day.  I am making Jelly tomorrow with my sisteer (gome made gifts for friends and co-workers) so the try and decoration will probably go up on Sunday.

I think that the day after Thanksgiving is the perfect day.  I also think that using a living tree, and planting it after Christmas, is a great eco-frinedly Xmas presnt to the world...even if you get a small Charlie Brown Kind of tree!
