Is it okay to have opposite sex friends when you're married?
« on: November 22, 2010, 08:47:46 am »
I have a friend, who is always going out with his friends that are girls. He claims that they're gay but it worries me that he might be out doing other things. What do you think?

If its not relating to you I'd stay out of it b/c you may find out things your not ready for or not wanting to hear.  Or he/she could be telling you the truth.  I guess the only way to know is to follow them one night and see for self.   :dontknow:  I have gay friends and they know my position on the matter but I don't avoid them I am still there friends and we still talk and even hang out but with other friends and my spouse.  If there is nothing to hide then this person should be taking his or her spouse with them.   :star:

Oh you should post something like this in off topic instead of offers.

Yes as long as your friend respects your marriage and you do as well... no flirting

Personally I feel that if you go out with your partner with people of the opposite sex it's not a big deal, but I can honestly tell you that I would not be happy if my wife was going out places with guys without me....

Of course it's okay to have friends of the opposite sex when you're married. Do you really think that you shouldn't be allowed to interact with people of the opposite gender just because you have chosen one of them to live with?

yes, I agree with mstout. They have to trust us. Moreover, the friends also know that u are married so i think they will not trouble. It is also good to share your happiness with friends. And please I hate to differentiate friends with genders.

I believe this topic should be under off-topic.
