I don't have any ideas but would also appreciate any ideas. That is probably the only way anyone will be getting Christmas presents this year.

do you have kids to help make things.
making christmas ornaments for the tree is fun or making wreaths to decorate a door
how about embroidering or cross stitching something

i also will make candle holders with my 3 year old.... it's tissue paper - elmers glue and little jars ..... suppose to use the flameless candles
also love the colorful candy in jars with ribbon

and the ingredients for cookies in a jar - can decorate the jar, print out the recipe nicely and it is so presentable.

depends on who youre giving the present to.  I like to take lots of pictures with friends/loved ones.  So I plan on buying a nice photo album (under $10) and making a nice scrap book with the pictures and memories.

Hi ....
I have made all sorts of homemade gifts over the years.  My favorite is hand quilted coasters and pot holders.   Coasters are fun to make and quick and easy.  I have sold many over the years and given hundreds of sets away.  I also make homemade cocoa mix and put it in a nice container, brownie mix with instructions etc.... Merry Christmas !!! I hope you have fun making your gifts ... that is when it means the most.

Another gift could be homemade ornaments using family and friends pictures.

I make Christmas goodie bags for friends. I make 3 different kinds of fudge, crispix mix, puppy chow, banana bread, cranberry bread, assorted cookies. I will be working on getting all the breads baked this week.

Jams are a favorite but definitely cookies and candies!  Also check the dollar stores for good inexpensive Christmas gift that you can decorate and make more unique with your own style!! Like jars you can paint or candle holders you can paint and then put little tea candles in them.

Just a thought, but do any of you know how to do crochett? I am making crochett things for some of my family and friends this year. I made some oven mits and also so doylees. Here in Iowa we can get a big thing of yarn for around 2.50 and that can make about 10-15 gifts depending on how large you make them.
