Marijuana should it stay illeagal or be legalized? lets hear your opinion

I would like to hear what people think about marijuana and not just something like "dude I love it's great but some type of insight about why or why not."  Should it be legalized and taxed and limited to a certain age class like alcohol or should it stay illegal?  Lets hear it

Well I dont have a link but the person asked a legit question so Ill try to answer this. I believe medical marijuana should stay as is and get easier to obtain. Many times people are given drugs like darvocet with 650 mg of tylenol in ea tablet and they take 2 of those they have more than the third amount allowed for a liver daily. so if they take it 3 times a day they have overdosed on tylenol which is not a laughing matter. tylenol over dose leads to kidney failure and liver problems. its a really bad way to die as its slow until the liver just wont clot anymore. Why docs wont just realize hey lets try some legal marijuana and less tylenol for these people I dont know. Its almost like they really are not trying to bring the patients pain threshold down to what it should be. And if it helps chronic pain, and it also helps depression then lets do it. Why put these people on dangerous antidepressants and a toxic load of tylenol just to maintain them. Give them a life and let them have real pain relief and a happier life. Should we legalize it like cigarettes?  I dont know yet on that one.

           That is a touchy subject among alot of people this day in age. There would be pros and cons to the issue. some of the pros would be another source of income(of coarse taxes would be paid on it)...maybe it would pick up the economy and some people would benifit from it. Some of the cons would be that there could be more violience and more addicts then there are now. Then again there ae always two sides to every story.

These laws against MJ make NO SENSE given the fact that cigarettes and booze are totally legal. Definitely, legalize it!  First off, marijuana is used as a medicine.  Although that doesn't mean much, that brings me to #2.  Its a plant.  Its grown from earth itself.  Its not made up of all these powders and potions put together to create lethal pills.  The city and state spend so much money each year busting drug dealers and housing them in jail.  If it were legalized that rate would go down.  Its a shame, you know.  Hard working family people look for a way to relax the night away and might prefer pot over liquor (which does worse damage, mind you!).  But those hard workers are getting busted and arrested and getting time taken away from their family, losing their jobs.  It would just make way more sense to have it legalized.  Creates lots less problems.  You would think the government would be all for that....

I have personally never smoked or used marijuana...the smell of it alone gags me.  In my era, we were taught if you used illegal drugs, you were considered a "loser". But I do believe it should be used for medicinal purposes only.
