Kim,

That's a great idea for SD with ebay.  She could probably do pretty well with that.  If she would take it on and keep with it.  My younger son has toyed with that idea himself.  With his disability from the arthritis, that would be something he would be good at.  He has a few "game" guys, like him, who buy/trade from each other.  They use Paypal for everything they do.  Also, he and these guys are so good at knowing the inside and outside of the games they play interactively and not.  He actually looked into Seattle once about being a new game tester/reviewer before the games come out.  That's a far place away, though.

Pulling the little red wagon to yard sales is a smart thing.  You've got your own "bag" for it all!  I wouldn't mind doing that, as long as it's in the cooler/colder weather.  There's just something neat about being out in the crisp cool air, not to mention the better breathing.

I'm glad you got a lot of work done with the genealogy.  It's good to have an office to set your "command center" up in when you've got busy things like that.  My "office" is loaned to my daughter right now for her bedroom, including my desk.

True, one never knows about the weather.  What's odd is growing up in the south, in schools we were always taught about the seasons and winter was always about the snow, snowmen, snowball fights, snow sledding, etc., even though few of us had ever experienced it.  Even in the winter, Christmas cards had snow and Santa on them.  So it's like we knew all about the snow, the fun, and even the cleaning up of it, but yet never experienced it.  So the few times it has snowed a teeny bit, everyone here is so excited!

Actually, the first time I ever saw and had fun playing in the snow, was in Norway.  I was in a college chorale and we toured Norway, Denmark, and Sweden in May for a performing tour.  Norway had just had a blizzard (in Oslo) and the snow was up to our waists.  The bus tour driver stopped and let us get out.  We had such an amazing time.  We were like little kids.  The bus driver just smiled and shook his head back and forth.

You and Bob be careful tomorrow with driving, and have a nice time at your daughter's, and then the rest of your trip.  I bet your friends are excited about your coming!  "See" you soon! :)

That's cool that you got to go to Norway and play in the snow!  I like to watch the changes in the seasons and the first snow is always a little exciting but then I'd be happy to just see it go away.  Winter lasts way too long anymore.  If you aren't playing in it it's only pretty when you are inside and don't have to drive in it or shovel it.

I'm pretty much packed and ready to go.  Just a few last minute things.  I have a counseling appointment at 10 then we're on our way to WV.   I'm pretty excited about seeing everyone.

I'll be online daily in some way so I'll drop you a line.

Take care.

Let's see I am 23 years old...I love to crochet as well. I live with my fiance who works for weeks at a time away from home and I to am looking for a new frined to hang out with and maybe even crochet together. I just finished a blanket for my king sized bed. It took me about 2 weeks to complete...LOL I know I really don't have much else to. I am getting amrried next month and I am a full time student. Going back to school is a lot of work and is well worth it if youa re willing to put your time and effort into it. It is great way to keep you busy if you have a lot of time on your hands.

Hi and welcome!  It's always nice to have another friend join in.  I'm looking at picking crocheting up again - it's been years.  I'm impressed that it only took you 2 weeks to complete your blanket.  I bet it's really pretty.  Congratulations to your upcoming marriage - I'm happy for you!  It's great about you going back to school.  What are you working toward?  Hope to chat with you some more!

Dianna,

I knew something was going on just wasn't sure what.  You don't worry about them at all.  Maybe they are jealous.  People will see what you do, like it, repeat buy, and spread the word!  Hope things are better by now.  Funny how people you think are friends, say things to be mean sometimes.  Hope your week is going well for you!

Julie :)

Hi Kim,

Hope your counseling appointment went well!  You'll probably be at your daughter's by the time you read this.  Have a great mom and daughter time!

Not much happening here today.  It's really quiet when they all leave for work in the mornings (around 5:45 to about 8:45) and then when they leave again (1:30 to around 4:00.)  That's usually when I try to get some things done around the house.  I generally have little shadows following me around everywhere I go (cats and the dog.)  They are too funny.

Have a super day!

Hi reesymay, glad you stopped by.  I'm an avid crocheter and knitter and my BF travels three weeks out of each month during the winter so it sounds like we could buddy up some!  I'm also a full-time student.  What are you studying?  Hope you stop by often and get to know the rest of the small group we have here on FC.

Dianna,

That stinks about those people dissing your crafts and especially on FB.  I get so irritated with people airing issues on an open forum like that.  Are you able to unfriend them?  I have hooked up with you on FB yet.  I'll have to see if I can find you through Julies page.

You are right about the online places to sell crafts.  My cousin is also interested in getting together and selling stuff at craft festivals.  I've always wanted to do that too but right now my plate is too full to even think about it.  It would really be more fun with a friend though.

Julie,

Yes I am in WV now.  We will leave for Indiana about 10 this morning.  I promised my daughter I would cut her hair before we go.  I had to laugh because I had this beautiful, colorful, hand knit in Peru sweater that I had snatched at a yard sale about 4 years ago for 4 dollars.  I wore it down here yesterday and figured my daughter had never seen it but somehow I mentally thought to myself...she is going to love this sweater and if she fusses about it I will give it to her.  Sure enough as soon as I walked into the house her eyes lit up and she said "I love that sweater".  I told her my premonition and the sweater is now hers.  I made her give me back the peach colored sweater I wore down here about 5 years ago in exchange.   :angel12:  She has put on a little weight anyhow and can't wear it right now so it was time for a trade.  We do this often...so it's kiind of fun to see what gets exchanged when we visit.  She gave me a stack of jeans too and I'm glad to get them right now.  I'm currently betwixt and between on jean sizes.  I have them ranging between about six different sizes :bootyshake:

I can just picture you sliding through the house with your fuzzy slippers and the little shadows on your heels.  Our animals are such a joy, most of the time aren't they?

TTL,

Kim

Kim,

Well, now, that was some neat foreseeing about that Peru sweater!  It was a great way getting that peach sweater back, too!!  You make me laugh talking about the size ranges for your jeans, lol!  Actually, it rings too true for my bottom, thighs, waist, etc., too! :)

I had a really good day today, energy wise.  I was able to get a lot of things done and still not be too wiped out.  The only thing messing with me is that nasty, chronic, bronchial cough that makes me lightheaded.  I'm relying on my nebulizer a lot and the cough medicine that makes me sleepy/dizzy.  But at least I had energy today - woo hoo!!!  I hope tomorrow is the same!

We had bad thunderstorms here, today.  At one point, this afternoon, all of the school buses were put on hold because of a tornado warning in our county.  There was one coming towards 2 of the elementary schools.  We live in the middle.  Thank goodness it fizzled out. The buses were about 30 minutes late picking up the students.  Hubby, dtr., and son all said the noise of the chattering kids, from excitement, was overboard and loud.  We are supposed to have storms again tomorrow afternoon.  Thankful for the much-needed rain, though!  Today's filled up my birdbath for me, lol!

Hope everything is going well for you and that you are having a nice time!  "See" you later!

Julie,

Glad you had a good energy day.  That stinks about the tornado warnings.  That is scarey stuff.  Being in Indiana this week I will keep my eyes open for bad weather.  The guys have already lost two tents here because of wind storms.  These tents cost thousands of dollars too.

I went to the track with Bob when we got here yesterday but I think I'm going to just hole up in the motel room today and work on my genealogy and do some scheduling for school and reorganizing.  My friends are all working during the day, except for one retired who I might call and try to get together with fayor lunch.

We are staying at the Steve Alford Inn. He used to be a big basketball star, so there is a humongous sneaker in the front yard of the motel.  It scares me.  Wouldn't it be terrible to have that thing fly through the air if there was a tornado?  Freaky to see.  ;D

Diana...I'll look for you on FB.  TTY girls later.

Kim,

Yes, that does sound freaky with the huge sneaker.  I wouldn't want to be around that either if a tornado came through!  We had major storms again this afternoon, with lots of rain.  The lightning was popping - didn't like that.

Were you able to get some paper work done at the hotel?

I introduced the new Christmas program to the Kid's Choir tonight.  They really seemed to enjoy it.  They're already chattering about solos, handbells, and the tryouts, lol!  They are too funny, but it's great to see them getting involved.

Have a great day tomorrow!

Julie  :)
