Wolf
« Reply #150 on: February 23, 2011, 02:03:51 am »
Hi Randell,

I once raised a Canadian short tailed wolf that everyone thought was just a dog.  He wasn't as big as what most people think a wolf will be.  He was great with my kids who were pretty little at the time.  I think with the pack mentality he realized they were little and protected them.  There was three generations of his line in captivity so most of the wild streak was out of him except for when a small animal would dart then look out...

Sorry to hear that tigerlilly.  There are some work at home jobs you could check into.  Alpine Access is one.  Go to Kim Komandos website and search for work at home.  It will bring up a link.  I for one know that Alpine Access is for real.  I have a friend that works for them and I was actually hired by them at one time but fell inactive in their rosters because I couldn't commit to more than 20 hours of week at that time.  Long story.  Good luck though and if you need more information feel free to ask.

Thank you for the advice ... after reading my post  :)  I see that I appeared to have a stuttering problem .... actually it is my back.  I finished physical therapy and it did help me but left me without flexability.  I  am trying to work on that now but can't push because if I do the back problems starts up again!  I am going to check into those websites today.  THANKS!!!! :peace:

I totally sympathize with and understand the back problems.  I had a slipped disc and bulge and was unable to walk for 3 weeks, wheel chair bound.  I graduated to a cane and eventually slow walking over a period of weeks/months.  Underwent 2 epidurals and physical therapy along with chiropractic care.  I still have some numbness in my right leg and it's been over 3 years now.

I am doing stretching exercises, gentle, but they feel so good.  I'm also lifting small hand weights and putting on music and just dancing...not quite Zumba but close and it seems to be helping to strengthen me a bit.

I hope you are feeling better and can exercise or at least stretch.  It will make you feel so much better if you are able.

Keep me posted on the work at home information and let me know if I can help in any way.

Blessed In Aging
~Esther Mary Walker
Blessed are they who understand
My faltering step and shaking hand
Blessed, who know my ears today
Must strain to hear the things they say.
Blessed are those who seem to know
My eyes are dim and my mind is slow
Blessed are those who look away
When I spilled tea that weary day.
Blessed are they who, with cheery smile
Stopped to chat for a little while
Blessed are they who know the way
To bring back memories of yesterday.
Blessed are those who never say
“You’ve told that story twice today”
Blessed are they who make it known
That I am loved, respected and not alone.
And blessed are they who will ease the days
Of my journey home, in loving ways

This poem, as read by Mary Maxwell in the video

“A Reminder That Laughter is the Best Medicine.”

:cat:  That is a beautiful poem!  Hope this week is very productive for you.  These weekends fly by too fast!  We had our 2 granddaughters (ages 6 and 2) for the weekend.   I also got to spend some sweet, quality time with our son (their daddy), too.  He's in the Navy and got to fly in for a few days.  He flew back out tonight. Tonight the house is awfully quiet - I miss them already!   :(

Welcome jnjmolly.  I'm glad you liked the poem.  I try to say nice things to and about people.  All you need is love...love is all you need is on a plaque above my fireplace and I try to live up to that positive statement (John Lennon).  Stop by and visit again.

Jcribb..I'm so glad you got to see your son and grandchildren.  I know it gets lonely between visits.  Aren't we lucky to have the computer though to keep in touch...unlike what we had with our grandparents.

That sounds cool. I am presently in studying stage. Hope to grow up as good manager. I like playing piano and reading books. I have many friends and chat for very long time over my PC or phone. One of the bad habits :(

Paid to post in the forum - my bad experience

First off welcome to bretay and vangahargavi!   Glad you stopped by and hope to hear from you again.

Dilemma friends... There are only 28 days in February and I did post daily and even did a double post in one day.     but...I only got 29 posts in for this month so lost out on the 3.00!  I'm thinking about giving this up afterall.  I could have crocheted a scarf and sold it for more than I've earned on here this entire month and the time factor would have been the same.  Getting discouraged.  :sad1: :dontknow: :crybaby2:

:cat: Oh, please don't get too discouraged.  Maybe you could ask Admin about it considering the 2 to 3 days knocked off of February.  I do enjoy chatting with you and others on here.  You've made a great thread here and I would hate to see it vanish on off...

I usually post in a couple of debate and discuss threads, so that helps me.  But when I'm running short, I like to check the off topic threads and enjoy discussing weather, hobbies, give happy birthday wishes, etc.  I bookmark them and check them periodically.  Also, there is another thread similar to yours called Florezittia's Chat Room.  There are several regulars and newbies who pop in and out.  They may just say hi and have a great day, or respond to someone getting married, having a baby, grieving over the loss of someone, encouraging someone, and wishing someone get well wishes.  Maybe this will help out a little.  I realize, too, that time is of an essence to you and wouldn't want to tie you up, but maybe give a try and see what happens.  I understand totally, though.  Usually, Tuesday through Thursday, I'm not able to get on as much because of my job, but I'll try and peek in to see what's going on.  I'm glad I did today.

Hope you are having a productive and great week.  Talk to you soon!  :)

Welcome to bretay and vangahargavi!!  This is a wonderful thread to meet new people!  Hope you enjoy FC, as well! :)

Jcribb..I will send a note to admin and ask but I had asked them about another situation for the score on a game and never got a response or the piddly 50 cents I should have earned for that either.  Admittedly too I have a traumatic situation going on in my life right now that I need to focus on and spending a lot of time on here for pennies just isn't a priority any more.  It's more of a fill in my time thing for now.
