Oh Kim, that is just not the kind of news you need to be hearing right now.  That's way too many people being laid off and/or cut back.  I sure hope that changes in the near future.  I hope there will be something out there at the right timing when it's time for you to look.

That was steep for the lumber - goodness!  But well needed.

When is your Spring Break.  Mine are all off this week.  20 days is really nice.  I hope you can get those hours completed like you want so you relax and enjoy your time off.

I heard from my attorneys today.  They called to say they received my packet and they will be working on it for another week or so, and then I will receive a copy of what they are putting together for the hearing.  They said they would be letting me know of every step taken.  I appreciate being able to be in the "know" and really like these attorneys.

I'm babysitting my little fella today.  We played for a long while, then I fed him, and he's taking his nap right now.  So I'm trying to get all of my paid things and posts done before he gets back up.

Have a nice evening.  {{Hugs}}

I'm 47 and retired from the Air Force after 27 years of active duty 3 years ago.  I was 44 when I retired and haven't worked since.  I had the choice of money versus time and opted for the time.  I think I made the right decision.  I'm not rich, but have enough to travel and take care of those I love.

I like travel, music, movies, TV, beaches, ladies, sports, pizza and a whole lotta other stuff!

Hi and thanks for stopping by.  I'm glad you are able to kick back after 27 years with the AF.  Kudos for the time spent protecting our country.  I totally understand about opting for the time rather than the money.  If you have enough to meet your living expenses and to do some of the things you enjoy then time is your commodity.

Enjoy!

Julie,

Yes the money should be well spent, eventually saving the difference in the tomato crop...and what ever else I'm able to fit into the grow box.

I'm glad the attorney is moving forward on your case.  I hope this doesn't drag on too long now.

I just know that when I do find a job I want it to be something I like.  There is nothing worse than hating your job.

My spring break starts about May 9 and I think I'm off until the 29th or 30th.  Not sure without a calendar.  I sure need to get some cleaning done around here so I'm looking forward to having the free time.

To vicogden, I'm sure you made the right decision.  Thank you for your time in the military, but 27 years is enough, I think.  Enjoy everything else in life there is to do.  There are a lot of veterans in mine and my husband's families, but no career military.  The closest I can think of is the grandfather of one of my nephews' wives.  :)   He was Air Force, also.  Now retired on the lake with a boat.  :)  :)

If you have enough to take care of what you need, I don't blame you at all for taking time to enjoy things you like.  Thank you for your service to our country and our freedoms.  Happy Easter!  :)

Hi Kim,

Yes, after all the work and schooling you have done, you deserve and should be able to have a job you actually like and enjoy.  I hope it works out like that!

I had a spell in Walmart today.  We went out to eat with our pastor's mom and her hubby with a gift card we had, in return for how much he helped with our air conditioner.  I went to Walmart afterwards with a gift card and had a few certain things I was looking forward to getting.  I guess I should have used my inhaler before walking in, but didn't.  I had to after I got in - my breathing was off, the cough started, and my heart was fluttering.  I did the usual 2 puffs.  Within the next 10 minutes, in the jewelry dept., I almost passed out and scared the workers.  They sat me on a chair and called the manager.  Someone got wet/cold paper towels for my neck while someone else got a cup of coffee.  I figure my sugar dropped while having an asthma attack at the same time.  I was so lightheaded, clammy, and shaking.  They were going to call an ambulance, but I asked them to please call my family.  So Roddy and Veronica came and picked me and me car up.  I've done my nebulizer and have rested since, but still feel off kilter and very weak.  Those ladies were really kind and helpful, and the manager would not leave my side until I was in the wheelchair leaving.  I sure hope tomorrow is better.

I hope you and Bob have a blessed, special, and wonderful Easter!  Talk to you later.

~ Julie ~

Hi Maxine,

Good to hear from you.  What have you been up to lately?  Still speaking in classes?  Drop us a line and let us know what's up in Maxine's world.

Oh Julie I'm so sorry you had that spell while you were alone.  Boy it must have come on quickly for you to go by yourself like that.  Maybe you should start taking an escort with you.  What if you would have been driving?  I know it would be hard to have someone tag along with you all the time but for safety reasons perhaps you should.

Hope you are feeling better today.  Take better care of Julie!

Hi Juanita,

Happy Easter to you, too!  It's actually chilly here in GA - unexpected, but gladly accepted!  I am glad you found the blog, too.  It's nice making new friends, chatting, and all the while, earning a little!

Hi Kim,

A little better today, but still not up to par.  I'm lightheaded and weak; using my nebulizer.  My sugars are in the 80s, and my bps are fine - we keep checking them.  My chest aches down deep and having more congestion.  I don't know, maybe bronchitis is trying to come back.  I'm just taking it real easy today.

Hope you and Bob are doing well.  Happy blessed Easter to you both.

Julie :)
