WHO HAS A WEAVE OR HAIR EXTENTIONS
« on: November 12, 2010, 06:20:54 pm »
I have hair extensions right now because I want to give my hair a break from doing it everyday so I put extentions in myself.  I noticed alot of women wearing weaves or extentions these days.  Back in the day, you would get made fun of if you had a weave.  That's when that song was out by Alexander O'neal called ''SHE'S A FAKE". I think it's fine, just as long as it's not too excess!!!!!

I have had weaves and extentions and to be honest I think it's a great option for women to give their hair a rest and sport a new look. The problem is that too many women will get bad weaves, don't take care of their weaves, or don't know enough about them before getting them done. If you get a bad/ neglected weave you can suffer hair damage and loss. A good weave will protect your hair and can help you retain length. I personally can't get sew-in weaves because they always mess up my scalp. I just took out some yarn braids and I do have nice wigs that I sometimes wear when I'm feeling sassy!

Oh and I forgot to add that I just think it's so funny when some women (and men) will have for example neck length brown hair and then show up the next day with a Pocahontas weave and swear it's all of theirs and get mad if someone says it's not! I have no problem saying if I'm sporting a weave. The weaves I had looked awesome and believable but I'm not gonna be in hair denial!lol

I have clip in extensions from Sally's they are by the brand Euronext, human hair, about $80. I tried glued extensions awhile back and hated them.

I'm thinking about getting hair extensions because a few months back I decided to cut my hair shoulder-length and well, I miss it :(.
My hair grows fairly fast, so even when it grows out I'll still be using the extensions for volume ^^ I'm just not sure where to get them from yet.

I don't think I'd ever do that- you can usually tell when it's fake!  My hair is great how it is-I love it!

I don't have hair extensions. I even don't know how does it look. Actually my hair becomes dry at the end and at the scalp it becomes greasy sometimes. So no idea how to manage it properly. What I usually do is apply oil for one day and take head bath and leave for three days. The circle continues

I wear wigs for a different look and when I don't feel like styling my own hair.

I get hair extensions or braids most of the time. The extension or weave usually protects my hair from damage n I don't have to use hot iron or blow dryer on it everyday. It's usually extra dry in d winter, so weave, extension, or wig may be options for the season.

I do. Even though my real hair is long, I wear clip in extensions because I like to have fuller hair and add more length to it, and to just have fun with it. I like these because you can clip them in and it does not take long to create the look you want, and plus you can take them out whenever you want and it does not damage your hair like the sewn in extensions and etc; All you do is clip and go and it is easy for me, I see why they are so popular today.
