What an Awesome God We Have

What a wonderful God we have. He wants to give us what we want, everything our heart desires. He has all the good things, all the presents wrapped up and waiting for us to open. He is waiting with joy in his heart to see the delight in our eyes when he gives us the spouse, the career, the money, the healthy body, or the friend we have been praying for. He knows us perfectly, even better than we know ourselves. He knows what we really want. He knows exactly what will make us happy

Matthew 7

9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 

Often we think we want something and we ask God for it but he doesn’t give it to us. This can make us feel angry and frustrated and we wonder if God loves us at all. But if you will think about it, you don’t know what is really best for you. You don’t know all about the past and the future. You don’t know about everyone’s heart at the same time. Only God knows these things. God wants you to wait and trust him.

Look at what happens when you do. The anger and resentment goes away and you live in the power to change the world.

Isaiah 31

but those who hope in the LORD

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint.

Trusting God gives you strength, it gives you power. It makes your heart sour like the eagle. This is what God wants for you. You have been chosen to change the world. To do this you have to love and to love you have to know that God is working for you.

Romans 8

28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Stop for a moment and open your heart to God. Let his love fill you. Let him whisper in your heart and tell you he loves you.

Do yourself a favor and stop for a moment and open your heart to God. Wait-feel his love sink into your soul. Let him whisper into your heart and tell you he loves you.
