the curse of the midnight snack!
« on: November 04, 2010, 07:05:07 pm »
guilty as charged (with as many food posts as i reply
to, its really no wonder that the midnight snack bug
bites me just about every night)... hehe. i might have
a bowl of ice cream tonight!

what do you usually indulge in for your midnight or
before-bedtime snack? or do you have the will power
not to indulge at all?

heartburn haunts me too sometimes  :sad1:
homemade chili is the best on a cold day...
never had nightmares from it, but that's pretty
funny!

You call it:  :(  "The curse"... I call it:   :)   "The blessing of the midnight snack". It depends how hungry I am at that time of the day, here are some of my choices: A health bar, a cup of hot chocolate to warm up before I go to bed, a pastry...other.

I have to say that I am 'too lazy' to get out of bed to have a snack.....This is one time where being lazy is a good thing!!!!

I usually nibble on left overs from dinner, and for some strange reason I get really thirsty at night. Then I have to drag my butt out of bed at 3 am to pee.

The only time it was a problem for me was when I was pregnant. If I woke up I would be STARVING and there was no way to get back to sleep without eating !

Willpower? Me? Not hardly. I usually eat a bowl of cereal, but if there is ice-cream in the house I am a goner. Also love cookies and milk or pretty much anything sweet.

Well, I did clean up all the snickers and paydays tha were left over frm Halloween.  Usually I munch down a bowl of cereal.  Can't get to sleep if my stomach is talking to me.

I tend to crave salty foods.  I love sweets, but if I eat sweets before bedtime I have nightmares.

I usually avoid the midnight snack by being a heavy sleeper.   :angel12:
