Question to someone who knows Religion??

   Okay I have heard this over and over from so many people..I just wonder if it has truth behind it.. K...
My kids are not baptized I think since I am not one religion it is their choice not mine...Well I have been told by so many people religious and not that my kids will not be able to be buried without them being baptized...Sounds flaky to me but I would not be surprised if there is some truth to it... ( I also find it sickening people would say this too me at same time my kids buried come on have some tact)

I am not of an organized religion any longer...was raised a Roman Catholic.  I consider myself a spiritualist and in my humble opinion, we are all children of God, or of a higher power and baptism is a man made ritual. If your child  was to pass on, baptism plays no part whatsoever in whether your child can be buried.

I think that rule applies to the Catholic religion, not positive though. You might get a correct answer if you use Bing or Google or your favorite search engine.

My personal view is that you only accept Christ as your personal savior.

I totally agree with you.  Baptizing will not save your soul.  Only was to be saved is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  Once you accept Him in your life you will want to grow and seek His ways and sometimes that leads to a person being babtized.  Jesus was baptized prior to beginning His ministry

  I can't speak for all religious sects, but as a Baptist Christian, baptism is simply showing publicly that you have accepted Jesus as Saviour.  Jesus, Himself was baptized, and baptized others to set the example.  But once you have accepted Him as Lord, you are saved and going to Heaven, whether or not you choose to follow through in baptism.

Baptism is part of the plan of Salvation (Acts 2:38).  However, in the case of your children, if they don't know right from wrong (depends how old and how much they understand right from wrong), if they die, they go to Heaven. Baptized or not.  A child cannot understand their need for Baptism, because they don't understand the concept of being forgiven for their sins.  When they reach the age where they understand their need to "right" their wrongs through repentance, then they will understand that Baptism is the "washing away" of those wrongs (sins).

Baptizing a baby gives the baby no choice, and your Baptizing an infant with no understanding of what is going on. In other words, someone else is making the decision for them.  Children must reach the age of "accountability" for their own actions of wrongful sin, before they can even begin the understanding of Salvation.  That age is different for every child.

Jesus was our example and was Baptized.  We are to do the same as one of the steps of Salvation.  We have to comprehend and understand the steps of Salvation to take them.

No, That's Rediculous! Baptism doesn't have anything at all to do with whether or not you can be buried. When someone is Baptised, they are symbolically saying "I believe in God in my heart and that he died for my sins." It's a symbol to everyone that you are a Christian. If you have to be Baptised to be buried that's saying that everyone who dies, basically, are Christians and that's not true. Whoever told you that is an idiot. In my opinion, the only hinderance on whether you're buried or cremated is if there's money since burial is more expensive. I'm just saying.

I almost forgot. Yes, that belief is from the Catholic religion. If your Catholic then you have to be baptised the second your born as a baby or as soon as you join their church/religion/whatever. I'm Baptist Christian in case you couldn't tell.

I'm a catholic and I have gone through all sacraments. I have never heard in my life that someone would be denied burial for not being baptised.
I just asked my Christian friend and he laughed and stated burials are not based on that anymore. You can be buried without it.
He stated that in the old days you wouldn't be allowed to, because of the belief that your not forgiven for your sins or have asked for penance from god to enter heaven.

Honestly, it's all up to you and your children I wouldn't let this alter your views or theirs.

Yes I totally agree with you on your response.  One's burial has nothing to do with baptism.  When I was growing up in the Roman Catholic religion in the 60's and 70's, you could baptise a person yourself in case of a dire emergency.  These are just man made dogma rules and has nothing to do with a burial.

The answer to your question really depends on the church or religion you are a part of. In the Christian faith, not having been baptised has no bearing at all on a person's burial.
