You know, it kills me sometimes how many people don't realize this.

I have some relatives who are always falling for MLM scams and schemes, and are always sending me emails to try to get me to sign up. They join programs that cost a FORTUNE to join, and have never made any money from them. They try them for a while and then move onto another program. Yet, I can't get them to sign up for one single FREE program like Fusion Cash, where they actually will make money.

I don't get it.

Scammers are definitely out there. Some are trickier than others I guess, but I actually got an email today telling me to re-enter my paypal information so I could get paid. Get paid for what? Am I that stupid? But I do have some stories of successful (or almost successful) scammers. When I worked at a bank, elderly people would come in all the time with those fake checks they got in the mail and wanted money orders to send back to the scammers. Luckily, we were able to help most of them before they were scammed but some were insistent. A story close to home is that after Thanksgiving my boyfriend bought some laptops on sale to sell at a mark up on ebay. A little greedy I know, but anyway, a guy bought one but after it was sent he reported to ebay that he received an empty box weighted with rocks. Not sticking with his original story, he returned a broken laptop, not even the same type, and said he wanted his money back. Luckily my boyfriend kept receipts of shipping, the computer, and even the store he used to ship it offered up their security videos, so ebay sided with my boyfriend and everything was okay....we thought. The guy went through his credit card company to report fraud and all of a sudden my boyfriend's account was out that amount of money without any notice. So sometimes these guys are really determined to scam innocent people!
