Does anyone have their own web page?  I'm looking for information on how to start my own website (free) so I can sell some of my crafts.  Any ideas on how to start your own web page and get traffic ???

Google it, and if you use social networks promote it & word of mouth should spread it around.

I heard awardspace.com and atspace.com both recommended for free hosting a few years ago.  There are a lot of free hosts out there.

This would probably be best handled using a content management system (CMS). You add an image, price, description, and the CMS does the rest. There are free scripts you can find online if you search for them (php cms scripts), and you will need a free hosts who supports PHP which is a scripting language.

Have you tried etsy?

My son tried etsy but didty have any luck there.  He is a glass blower and jewelry maker.  I make hand  quilted coasters and pot holders etc  & now my new project is welding hats ... very cool ones.  I will try the suggested web page sites and maybe even go back to ebay  .... although that will be my last resort.  I have done well there in the past but they have so many fees.

Thanks for all the input.
