and the Giants win!!!
That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.

Congratulations to San Francisco.  It's a long time coming.

The Giants pitching was just dominant.  Nothing else you can call it.  Like I said above, I thought the Yankees made the Rangers' pitching look much better than it really is.  It really was an indictment on how bad New York hit in the ALCS.

But, what really surprised me was how bad Lee was in game 1.  I never would have expected Lee to lose both the games he started.  You would think his performance would hurt his upcoming contract negotiations a bit, but it won't happen.  If the Yankees want him, and he doesn't mind playing in New York, they will grossly over pay to keep him away from Texas, who appears to be really the only other one willing to shell out the big bucks he'll want.

As far as the ratings go, this World Series will end up being the second lowest rated (barely from being lowest) of all time only behind the 2008 Series of Tampa and Philly.  It was even beaten Sunday night by a regular season NFL game.  MLB will never admit it, but they need to have a big market team in for good ratings (see: either NY team, Boston, Philly, Atlanta, either Chicago team, either LA team).  Or, they need to do a better job in showcasing their smaller market teams on national TV.  You didn't see the Rangers or Giants on national FOX or ESPN games nearly as much as you see other teams.
