Do you think that it's okay to wear real fur?

I see nothing wrong with it.  I have a fur and I wear it for the warmth in the frigid area where I live.  Be damn what others may think.

Of course it’s not okay. It’s unconscionable cruelty!  I saw a video clip of a cat being skinned alive and I felt sick in my stomach for the whole day. It is profound ignorance to say it’s okay to wear fur and not have a problem with it. The fur was forcefully skinned away from its owner while dying in agony and pain. If you can’t shed any tears, then you must reflect deeply and ask yourself if it’s okay for someone to skin you alive, sell your skin for mega bucks and parade it around shamelessly. That’s one heavy debt we must owe to the animals. Show mercy and compassion, and you will be treated the same in return.

I don't think there's a problem with it in a certain case. Like if you hunt and kill the animal and then skin the hide and then eat the animal, then sure by all means. You're using the animal for a purpose. It wasn't raised specifically for that fact.

To all the people that seem it's a big crime, do you wear leather? Do you eat meat? Do you use any animal product cosmetics? Do you eat anything that wasn't raised and hunted? You're a hypocrite big time if you do any of the big things yet seem to find serious issue with people wearing fur.

no no no. there is no reason to wear real fur. you can get the same fashion look without killing millons of beautiful animals to do make warm coats and jackets. it is a terrible thing, and i am aganist it.please stop.

absolutely not although I used to have a real fur and while I don't wear it anymore I don't know what to do with it. But the way the industry treats animals is disgusting.

As long as you take care of the fur I have no problem.    But at the same time I am so not gonna go out and buy a mink anything for me.   But what we do need to keep in mind is that like so many other things wearing a fur is a personal choice and we should all learn to respect other folks freedom to choose.  After all that freedom was purchased with a little bit more than fur.

I think there's nothing wrong with wearing antique fur, but you definitely shouldn't buy fur. It's not even about the animals being killed, it's about how they were tortured when they were still alive.

Buying fur would be okay if we had laws preventing them from torturing these animals their whole lives, but we don't. No matter what fur you're buying it is a product of torture, and that is what's disgusting.

I would never wear fur unless I knew the animal had died to feed humanity.  I believe you should use the entire animal if you are going to kill it.  So if you kill a cow for food, then wasting the hide seems almost immoral.  I don't believe in killing any animal exclusively for fashion but, if the animal is going to be eaten, then using all you can from it will at least make it so its death was not in vain.  People have been using animal skin/fur/bones since the beginning of humanity and out of necessity.  If we kill animals b/c we are feeding and clothing our village, then those animals will not have died in vain.  If we kill animals only b/c we want to look fashionable, then I think that it's wrong.
