Do you think that it's okay to wear real fur?

I hate the useless killing of animals just so someone can parade around in their fur. It's so sad,but then I feel like a hypocrite for wearing my leather motorcycle jacket. Well,at least someone ate the cow. What do you think about this?

Wearing fur is great if you're not too concern about the animals it may have come from. I know some people have concientious objections to killing animals so humans can wear the fur.

I don't see the big deal with all this!  People have been wearing fur FOREVER! I would hope that the "fur coat makers" put the rest of the animal to good use.  That is what would make me feel bad.

I think when it was a necessity for our ancestors to stay warm. There's really no point of people wearing fur now except for fashion purposes today.

I think that if the animal was slaughtered because we eat it and the skin/fur was left over and you use it for fur thats ok.  What i dislike is for instance Mink fur bein worn because I'm pretty sure they are raised only because they look pretty dead on slutty celebrities.

I don't wear real fur ever.  As for leather, we do have leather things in our house.  My shoes are leather, but shoes seem like a necessity. I think only 1 pair of boots is leather.  Fur coats aren't as necessary.

I do not wear fur.  Once upon a time it was necessary, but now we can buy coats from other materials.  I think it is used too much for vanity.  And faux fur looks just as good as the real thing.

i just don't really understand the point of wearing fur.
honestly, the animal looks better in their own fur than you
do, wearing it as some vane status symbol.

my dislike for fur/real animal skin clothing stems both from
loathing the type of people who would wear it in the first
place, as well as the killing of an animal FOR them to buy.

Wow, for everyone saying " I don't have a problem with it." Click on his link and read. You are heartless if that doesn't make you feel bad. I don't wear fur, and won't wear fur. The animals are so defense less. What I don't understand are the workers who can do that to the poor animals, they should be skinned alive.

Not even slightly, I absolutely despise anyone who even thinks its okay to kill innocent animals for their own gain.
