Stress
« on: October 22, 2010, 11:30:30 am »
We all have it and deal with it! Jobs, Family, Relationships and Money! The question is how we deal with it? I have heard and found so many movies, books, TV shows, radio and internet tell me what and how I get ease or rid myself of stress. Exercise and eating healthy always are the main point to get getting rid of stress or at least easing it. But every so often someone comes out with a pill or machine to solve this issue. So should we really use these pills or machine? Or just get out to a park and walk, jog. Sure everyone has an excuse. Not enough time? Kids? Job? Partner? It can still be done regardless of reason. Walking a pet, playing or walking with the kids. Now video games like Wii and others are making exercise games.

When life gives you lemons, make lemon-aid.   ;)  I like to take walks with my kids and let them ride their scooters while I walk.  It clears my mind and the fresh air does something incredible for my mental well-being.

I get rid of my stress by going to work.  I love animals and groom dogs and cats for a part time job. Even though some are a holy terror, the majority are fun and cute.  They look mangy when they come in and cute when they leave.  That relieves my stress...and my four cats at home.  :cat:

it depends I suppose....
A nice walk, a good cup of coffee, a manicure/pedicure with massage --->  these are some of the things I do to "de-stress"

I agree 100% healthy food and regular exercise are the way to go to relive stress and fat :) Tell me about it I now walk a couple times a week about 4 miles and most of the time we cant even tell we walked that far its great by the time we finish our last turn we feel like we can keep going my mind is clear and I get a great nights sleep. On top of that I have lost 12 lbs :)
Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.NEED Help? Check out my Beginners Guide pinned in the Support forum :)

The greatest destressers for me in addition to eating healthy and exercise:
1.) A good cup of coffee
2.) knitting -- the repetitive motion can put you in the zone
3.) yoga, yoga and more yoga
4.) breathing exercises
5.) Lighting a candle and watch the flame flicker
6.) Waterfalls and fountains
7.) Getting enough sleep
8.) Walking
9.) A nice long drive in the country
10.) Reiki beats everything!  I don't understand how something so simple works but it does!  Reiki rocks!!!

:)   Put yourself first...that is 'take care of yourself', so you can 'take care of others'. Good diet with vitamins and minerals supplements, reasonable exercise plus a good night sleep...it is all it takes. Then, you will find all the energy you need to take care of others.

The best thing for me is to go outside and just look at the sky in its infinity. Helps me put my relatively short time in existence in perspective. A million years from now nobody will know the difference.

I think the most important thing is to learn when it's no longer productive to keep thinking about something stressful, and just drop it.  Don't worry over things when it does absolutely no good.

stress is in everyones daily life. it causes us to have, very bad ,health issues, and act differently, during our day. we all say we should try to calm down and take things slower ,but we generally fail at that.look back at your day,and try to make your next day alittle bit better.
