HOW DO YOU REALLY FEEL ABOUT NOT BEING ALLOWED TO SMOKE AT THE WORKPLACE OR IN CERTAIN CLUBS OR RESTAURANTS?? IS IT WORTH IT?

I'm fine with the workplace, but what I get pissed about is that I believe it's dishonest and extremely wrong to a shop owner to be told they can or cannot allow smoking in their establishment. The private property rights should outweigh those of the state imposing such rights.

I love it. Because I use to be a smoker and it was a difficult thing to leave when people around me was smoking. I had to leave it for health reasons. But at the same time I dont like it when some people at their jobs are told what to do if you are hire for your work not your habits.

I think its good that it's getting cut down on, because cigerate smoke smells, at least to me, terrible. So I don't have to smell it while I eat at a restaurant, and I don't second hand it. However I don't really like some of the places that there saying no smoking at, people have a right to smoke, and making it illegal practically every were isn't helping anything.

I'm a smoker and I can see why my second-hand smoke might bother someone in an enclosed area. Fair is fair and I can make exceptions. Only when they say I can't smoke in my vehicle, home or in most open air areas will I worry about it, i'm in the south as well so I don't see that happening anytime soon. I think we were one of the last states to adopt the smoking ban in restaurants anyhow.... My bone to pick is with the perfumes and sprays and scented crap that everyone seems to be in love with these days. Most of these rather nasty smelling products bother me to the point of wanting to puke, especially these nasty smelling body sprays. I mean cmon folks, the body spray is meant to be used as an enhancement, NOT to mask your nasty smell from not showering or sweating excessively. Nothing better than getting stuck beside a teenage couple at a movie theatre or restaurant and getting that wonderful aroma of body spray and sweat, so awesome!! I myself even use Tommy cologne but geese allmighty one spray or dab is all you need, drenching yourself in the stuff is not needed and makes you smell like a walking inscense stick! I especially love it when i'm out eating in a public place and my food begins to taste like the middle aged cougar sitting to my left, sooo awesome!! I say there should be a nationwide ban on the "over-use" of perfumes, colognes and body sprays in enclosed public places, especially anywhere food is served!

I think it's good, because when people smoking in public they don't care whose, you passing and they just blow the smoke right at u and don't even think twice of saying oh sorry.

I think smoking should not be allowed in public places.  Nothing I hate more than going into a restaurant and having to smell smoke while I eat.  It is disgusting.  I also hate going into a store and the employees on break are standing outside the entrance smoking.

I like that I can go into a restaurant or bar and not come out smelling like an ashtray. Whenever I am around people who are smoking I get a horrible headache and I am actually coughing up crap the next day. I heard on the news one day that they are trying to ban smoking in vehicles and in your own house. This is just dumb. As long as there are no children in your house or your vehicle, it should be fine to smoke. This way you are doing no harm to anyone but yourself.
