Why would anyone have a bank account or a credit card linked to facebook? Do some of the games cost money or something?

The apps/games don't cost money but they get you so addicted that some people end up buy game cash to upgrade farms and such I think that is ridiculous. I have to admit I do play a couple of their games one of them is farmville but I wouldn't buy fake money lol
Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.NEED Help? Check out my Beginners Guide pinned in the Support forum :)

There are some people out there who play all the games on facebook, and they are so addicted to it. I can see them buying credits. I wont do that. They flood my account with requets for their games. Most of the time they expire before i do anything with them! Its so frustrating.

Facebook is like anything else!   It is what you do on there that determines if you get into to trouble or not.  I have friended several people on Facebook and my credit card information or bank account have never been compromised on there.  First of all, you do not need that information on Facebook.  You have to use your judgement when purchasing items on-line and Facebook is no exception.  I play Farmville, Cafe World and MMM on Facebook all the time.  I rarely make a purchase for points or credits because I don't have to.  I have purchased those giftcards for Farmville once or twice at a 7/11.  It is much safer that way because you are not putting your credit card information on Facebook or Zanga.  You also have the option to use Paypal.  If people are spending lots of money to play games then that's on them because they are just playing the games wrong.  The people that are neighbors are friends from HS, friends from College, friends from elementary school, cousins, friends that from my old neighborhood, my sisters, my nephews, my sister-in-law, friends from my breast cancer support group, from from PeopleString, co-workers from my jobs, people that I network with and their friends or other people they know.  I've been on Facebook for two years and I've never ran into problems with anyone.  I have attended two elementary school reunion this year because of Facebook.  I was able to plan my daughter's birthday party because of Facebook.  I can keep in contact with friends and family because of Facebook.

I do agree. Earlier this year my cousin. Invited me to join. I did join but I did not use my personal information. Months later. Just last week. I got an email saying that my account was reactivated. I was upset, because that tells me someone has the information I entered and reactivated my account. That is definitely a security issue I have considering the fact the a did set my security setting on that site. From that point on. I deactivated my account and I donot trust Facebook or will ever. Revisit the site again. To each its own. That was not a good.

I go to Facaebook to stay incontact with friends and family. They have privacy settings anyway if you dont want to share you phone number email etc. I enjoy a couple of the games on there as well. Yes one of them is Farmville :). I guess its an opinion thing. But, it can be trouble for some. I only add people I actually know which makes it easy for me to maintain it.

I enjoy Facebook to get in touch with friends that I haven't heard from in years.
